Wei Wenfang, vice chairman and secretary general of the Luohu District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, mentioned in his speech that Luohu is the forerunner of reform and opening up, the epitome of Shenzhen's miracle, and the development of literary and artistic undertakings is booming. The combination of tradition and modernity, the blend of fireworks and fashion, all provide artists with unlimited creative inspiration and natural film shooting scenes.
Shenzhen Film and Television Industry Federation is an important carrier of Shenzhen's film and television industry, with nearly 1,000 member units, providing enterprises with all-round guidance and assistance in script creation, film and television shooting, publicity and distribution, etc., effectively condensing regional film and television resources and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the industry. Li Yawei, President of Shenzhen Film and Television Industry Federation, said that the Industry Federation is a bridge of communication between Shenzhen film and television people and film and television enterprises, and a link between the government and the industry, and will continue to promote the development of the film and television industry in Shenzhen and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the future.
Xiao Xiaoqing, a first-level researcher of the Drama Film and Television Work Department of the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles and full-time vice chairman of the Provincial Film Association, said that he hoped to take advantage of the opportunity of this exchange meeting to explore new ideas and new methods of film and television creation, promote the integrated development of cultural industries in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao, strengthen project cooperation, resource sharing and talent exchanges between the three places, and continue to tell the stories of Guangdong, Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and China with heart and soul, and create masterpieces that carry forward the Chinese spirit, spread Chinese values, unite Chinese strength, and are worthy of the times.
How to better cultivate and revitalize film talents and create more, better and better works? The event specially invited Shenzhen director Lan Hongchun, Hong Kong director Li Lizhi, and Macao director Hua Tianliang to share the theme, focusing on the thinking of film ontology and the future, and helping to build a highland of film and television industry in the Bay Area with international influence. The atmosphere was warm, and many young directors and screenwriters seized the hard-won opportunity to ask and exchange questions around film scheduling, actor training, publicity and distribution, etc., and had a deeper understanding of film creation.
Lan Hongchun shared his experience in the production of amateur low-budget films, and his works have won the "Five One Project Award" of Guangdong Province, the best feature film of the Shenzhen Youth Film Festival, and the second prize of the Guangdong Radio, Film and Television Award. The movies "Dad, I Will Do It" and "Take You to My Mother" are Lan Hongchun's masterpieces, which have both Chaoshan regional characteristics and Hong Kong-style comedy techniques, and have created tens of millions of box office results with low-cost production. He proposed that small-budget films need to find a logic of commercial self-consistency, and on the premise of controlling costs, take actors and narrative as the first principle, and are even more grateful for the support of many peers and seniors in Shenzhen to let him complete his film dream.
Hong Kong is one of the world's film industry bases and film exporters, and is known as the "Hollywood of the East". Li Lizhi directed a series of Hong Kong film classics that are loved by the audience, such as "The King of Comedy", "God of Food", "Shaolin Football", "Tang Bohu Dots Autumn Fragrance", etc., and is one of the pioneers of nonsensical comedy films in Hong Kong. He said that the creation of comedy films is an esoteric art, and he has explored the model of MD5319 in practice. MD is Movie Dreaming, and 5319 refers to a 50-word outline, 300-word story flow, and then expanded into 9 parts, no less than 1000 words. He also shared his experience from a warehouse manager to a film director, encouraging young directors to "idealize, work hard, and persevere", and he will continue to carry out performing arts education and training to help people full of ideals achieve their film dreams.
Macau director Hua Tianliang has been producing films and television since 2013 and has shot more than 30 short films, 3 films and 1 TV miniseries. He said that Macao is one of the first places to have film projection equipment, and has a good foundation for development, and at the same time, the "Macao Elements" and "Macao Filming" film and television subsidy schemes have brought new opportunities for film and television practitioners, and he hopes that in the future, Macao film and television will have more in-depth cooperation with Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
In recent years, Guangdong's film box office has led the country, while Shenzhen has ranked third in the city's box office list, showing a thriving and hot situation. Strong box office performance is inseparable from strong policy support. Guangdong is deeply implementing the support plan for the creation of literary and artistic masterpieces, setting up a special fund of 250 million yuan to select major projects, introduce literary and artistic talents, and reward the creation of fine works. Shenzhen has introduced relevant policies such as a special fund support plan for the development of cultural industries and several measures to promote the high-quality development of the cultural, sports and entertainment industry, and has provided key support for the introduction of enterprises and the creation of high-quality products.
In addition, the Shenzhen Film and Television Industry Federation took the lead in setting up the "Shenzhen Small Cost Film Implementation Planning Headquarters" to comprehensively help small cost projects, and has reviewed hundreds of scripts, guided the creation and production of dozens of film and television works, and has planned and supervised the production of 11 cinema films that have achieved excellent results in word-of-mouth and box office. In order to cultivate local film and television talents, the Shenzhen Film and Television Industry Federation has also launched the "Fanxing Plan" to implement various film and television professional training camps for screenwriters, directors, editors, actors, etc., to help the industry prosper and develop sustainably for a long time.
At the event, Luohu's recent release of ten measures to support the high-quality development of the film and television industry sparked heated discussions. Many film and television practitioners believe that in the context of increasingly fierce competition, Luohu has introduced policies to set up special support for film distribution and screening, film and television creation, etc., which has undoubtedly injected a shot in the arm for the development of the industry, and the film and television highland in the Bay Area is rising strongly.
For film and television creators, Luohu is also a natural "bonanza". Luohu is the intersection of Lingnan culture, Shenzhen-Hong Kong culture, and reform and opening up culture, and is close to Hong Kong and Macao, which is conducive to the gathering of talents, logistics, capital flow and data required by the film and television industry. In addition, Luohu has also landed in the Guangdong Provincial Film Creation Training Base, which will actively promote film and television works to go out of Guangdong, to the whole country and to the world through Luohu. With the newly issued "Ten Measures for Luohu to Support the High-quality Development of the Film and Television Industry", Luohu issued an invitation to outstanding film and television industry players from all over the world.
