According to the estimation of Ebang Think Tank, including industrial production, construction production, retail and wholesale trade, the total material procurement of enterprises in China in 2023 will be 175.4 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%; Among them, the amount of industrial production procurement was 96.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.8%, and the analysis of Yibang Think Tank believes that according to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the operating income of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country will be 133.4 trillion yuan in 2023, compared with 137.9 trillion yuan in the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3%, and the total profit will decrease by 2.3% compared with the previous year.
According to the estimation of Ebang Think Tank, in terms of material procurement categories, the procurement volume of productive materials in 2023 will be 97.3 trillion yuan, the procurement volume of non-production materials will be 78.1 trillion yuan, and the MRO procurement volume of industrial products in non-production materials will be 8.9 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%. According to the analysis of Ebang Think Tank, on the one hand, the growth trend of MRO procurement is closely related to the performance of industrial enterprises, and with the decline of industrial production procurement in 2023, MRO procurement will also show a corresponding downward trend; On the other hand, through the use of big data analysis and machine learning, enterprises can more accurately predict the demand for MRO industrial products, make procurement more scientific, effectively reduce procurement and inventory, and improve the operational efficiency of enterprises.
According to the analysis of Ebang Think Tank, on the one hand, the government has introduced support policies related to e-commerce, digital commerce and digital procurement, which provides a strong guarantee for the development of digital procurement; On the other hand, with the wide application of digital technology, the supply chain is gradually realizing digitalization and intelligence, and digital procurement, as an important part of the supply chain, has benefited from the promotion of supply chain digitalization, and the procurement efficiency has been greatly improved. According to the estimation of Ebang Think Tank, the total amount of digital procurement in mainland China will be about 17.2 trillion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%, and the penetration rate of digital procurement will reach 9.8%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points compared with 2022.
