On July 12, at about 10:45 a.m. local time in Thailand, officers from the Karon Police Station in Phuket Province received a report that two foreign deceased, one man and one woman, had been found in a local commercial building, and immediately coordinated forensic and rescue foundation personnel to rush to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, the police found that the incident occurred in a commercial building, and the first floor was a beauty salon, which sold cosmetics and beauty products imported from Korea on a daily basis. The second floor is the residence, the police found the above two deceased in the room of this building, the man is 52 years old, the woman is 44 years old, the two are husband and wife, both are Korea businessmen in Thailand, and the preliminary judgment is not less than 3 days of death.
After an inspection of the room, a number of documents in Korean were found, including a letter issued by Thailand authorities regarding the revocation, seizure and prohibition of leaving the country. After further investigation, it was learned that the two people rented the building to run a beauty business for a period of 2 years, with a rent of 60,000 baht/month, and will complete one year in October 2024, but they are currently in arrears for 2 months, and the business is expected to lose money, resulting in great pressure on the two people.
At present, the police have sent the remains of the two people to the autopsy, and will further coordinate with the Korea Embassy in Thailand to contact relatives to bring them back to deal with the aftermath or take further legal action.
