Bruno Ganz, a Swiss actor who was deeply known for playing "Führer" Hitler in the film "The Destruction of the Empire", died today at his home in Zurich at the age of 77.

Bruno Gantz is one of the greatest actors in the German-speaking world and won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 23rd European Film Awards in 2010.
