On the streets of Madrid, Spain, there is a Cabrón Mexican bistro with a low strip of gray and white, but the interior looks like it has crossed the North Atlantic Ocean to Mexico, and the sun-like red-orange walls highlight the style of a welcoming country.
PPT Interiorismo design studio uses red orange as the base of the space, and inserts cacti, which are common in the Mexican countryside, and uses the vocabulary of natural geography to introduce the exotic.
Two-storey Cabrón bistro. On the first floor, the bar is the centerpiece, with Klein blue tiles accentuated in a slightly mottled red orange hue, with LED lights and bar stools of equal height, which use a horizontal axis to highlight the area and create a visual center of gravity. In the open space outside the bar, there are multiple seating options such as square tables, round tables and sofa areas depending on the number of people. For example, the sofa booth against the wall is equipped with a blue and white striped marble top, while the black marble round table is paired with rattan dining chairs.
In addition, illustrator Tato Reppeto was invited to design a series of visual images for the restaurant, and painted art, pop and subculture symbols into posters, which were collaged into a strong Mexican imagery in the corner of the bar.
PPT Interiorismo Design Studio uses dark gray tones on the walls to precipitate visual perception, and the ceiling uses LED light sources to continue the red orange main axis, and gray lining orange, echoing the design theme of the second floor. There is also a small bar on the second floor, which is also designed with a light bulb light source to deepen the sense of presence, just like Cabrón itself, which is the design requirement of the tavern itself.
