When asked about the man's name and place of origin, the scholar said, "Although this man is rich and noble, he is keen on fame and fortune, and he has been cut off seven-tenths of the time."
Yu Chuntan said strangely: "It's normal for people to be keen on fame and fortune, why should they be punished?" ”
The scholar replied: "If you are too keen on fame and fortune, the strong will have (autocratic) power, and (autocratic) power will be vicious and self-serving." The weak must consolidate their position, and it will be insidious and deeply hidden. In order to protect their positions, the (authoritarian) people squeeze each other out, and do not ask whether others are meritocracy, but only see whether they are their own party. Don't ask whether things should be done or not, just see if you can win and whether there are benefits. The evil of this kind of person is more serious than greed and cruelty, and it will not only reduce the blessing of the people, but also reduce the life expectancy! ”
Yu Chuntan remembered his words, and the person he said died violently two years later. So you see, even if there is life and death, and wealth is in the sky, you should also know that there is no door for blessing and misfortune, only people invite themselves, and good and evil (retribution) follow you like a shadow. If you don't practice hard, you will be blessed with no luck, and if you are born poor, as long as you do good deeds, you will also break your fate and bless yourself.

If you think that you are a good official if you are not greedy for money and bribes, and if you don't eat, drink, and be merry, then wouldn't it be better to set up a puppet above the court and he won't even drink water? ”
