On July 5, Geely Galaxy announced that its first pure electric SUV model, the Galaxy E5, has started pre-sales, with a price range of 123,000 to 157,000 yuan, and plans to officially launch it in early August. The body size of the Galaxy E5 is between the Galaxy L7 and the BYD Yuan PLUS, and it is equipped with an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system and Geely's self-developed Aegis short knife battery.
From now until the official listing, consumers pay 500 yuan to book the Galaxy E5, and can enjoy five major rights and interests, including 2000 yuan first coupon (1500 yuan can be deducted when actually buying the car), free upgrade of the Flyme Sound audio system worth 8800 yuan, 1200 to 3000 yuan configuration of free upgrades, priority tasting test drive qualifications and priority to pick up the car.
In terms of design, the Galaxy E5 has a closed center grille, split headlight clusters and LED daytime running lights on both sides, and its daytime running light design is similar to that of the Galaxy E8. On the sides, concealed door handles and low-drag wheels are fitted with black trim around the windows, while at the rear there are continuous light clusters and a rear wing with integrated high-mounted brake lights.
Inside, the front seats of the Galaxy E5 offer three levels of heating/ventilation/memory and an 8-point massage function, while the main driver's seat is also equipped with headrest speakers, and the front passenger seat comes with a leg rest. In terms of technology configuration, the car is equipped with a 15.4-inch 2.5K floating center control screen, a 10.2-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a head-up display system. These systems run on the domestic 7nm automotive-grade chip Longying 1, and integrate the Flyme Auto operating system, which supports functions such as voice wake-up, Flyme Link unbounded interconnection, and four-screen linkage.
In terms of power, the Galaxy E5 adopts CTB battery-body integration technology and is equipped with a single-motor drive system with a maximum power of 160kW. According to different configurations, it is equipped with 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, respectively, and the pure electric range can reach 440 km and 530 km under comprehensive working conditions.
