Now that the water has spread to the second floor and houses have begun to collapse, more than 200 villagers have been organized to evacuate to avoid danger in accordance with the requirements of the transfer, and now there are nearly 200 trapped people who need to be evacuated. Rain and sweat are intertwined, clothes are wet, mobile phones are about to run out of battery, it is already dark, and the difficulty of rescue is getting bigger and bigger, but it is gratifying that more and more people have been transferred, looking at their smiles and tears, listening to their thanks and gratitude, I feel that all the efforts are worth it.
As the political commissar of the People's Armed Forces Department of Pingjiang County, I know that Pingjiang County is one of the 38 key counties in Hunan Province for the prevention of geological disasters caused by flash floods, with 411 geological disaster sites and 451 flash flood hazard areas. On June 30, I received the first order from the county flood control and drought control headquarters: 50 militiamen were urgently needed to build the embankment. On the morning of July 1, I was preparing to carry out the theme party day activities as planned, and received the second order: the people in Pingyuan Village, Sanyang Township were trapped and urgently needed militia support! At noon, I received the third order: urgently support the evacuation of the trapped people in Daxi Village!
At 21:35, 196 trapped people were safely transferred! After the successful completion of the task, I was in a surprisingly good mood, and immediately gathered my troops, counted the number of people, and after summing up and commenting, I moved to the barracks. In the car, one after another calls to report safety went out.
Looking at the lights of thousands of homes, I remembered that what I heard the most at the scene was: "The critical moment is still the people's soldiers!" Suddenly, I thought that today is not only the party's birthday, but also my own lunar birthday, and I was thinking: "This party day is really meaningful, this birthday is unforgettable!" On the morning of July 2, in the face of the flood control level I emergency response and the call to unite to fight the catastrophic flood, I once again led a team to the old city where the most severely affected Hanchang Street is located, to transport the affected people and deliver daily necessities......
