Affected by the weather
Heavy rain suddenly fell in the Qixingguan jurisdiction of Bijie City
A farmer's cattle were frightened by thunder and lightning and broke free from their reins
Scurrying around in highway traffic
Seriously affect driving safety......
On the morning of June 29, in order to ensure road traffic safety on rainy days, the Second Brigade of the Bijie Municipal Public Security Traffic Management Bureau strengthened patrols and investigations on Biwei Expressway. At about 9 o'clock, when the traffic police patrolled to the vicinity of the Changchun Fort toll station ramp of Biwei Expressway, they found a big scalper scurrying in the traffic on the highway, and the potential safety hazard was great.
The patrol police immediately took the police car to press the road to warn, and jointly drove the cattle to the Changchun Fort toll station in conjunction with the "three parties along the way", and eliminated the potential safety hazards in time.
After many contacts, the owner of the cattle is a villager of Changchunbao Town, Qixingguan District, Li, further inquired and learned that due to thunder and lightning fright, the cattle broke free from the reins and ran to the highway, fortunately, the high-speed traffic police found it in time, and guided the cattle to a safe area for the owner of the cattle, eliminating potential safety hazards and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
The highway is a fully closed section, the speed is fast, in addition to pedestrians, non-motor vehicles, livestock are not allowed to enter, once the livestock into the highway caused by traffic accidents, the owner of livestock not only can not get compensation, but also bear the corresponding legal responsibility.
If driving on the highway
Meet these "wandering" animals
How can we respond?
Note:
Give way to speed
Don't put your life at risk
01 Don't hit in a hurry to dodge
As we all know, the speed of vehicles on the highway is relatively fast, and the greater the amplitude of the steering wheel swing, the more serious the direction of the vehicle will be.
02 Give priority to the safety of yourself and the people in the car
If the light is good, the driver can see the animal from a distance, in the case that there is no vehicle following closely behind and the distance between the vehicles is far away, the driver can first brake to slow down, turn on the double flash to prompt the vehicle behind him, and change lanes to avoid when conditions permit.
However, if the animal rushes out suddenly, and the time and safety distance are insufficient, it is recommended that the driver hold the steering wheel tightly and "give way without giving way" to avoid hitting the guardrail or colliding with other lanes of vehicles.
03 Try to avoid risks as much as possible
When driving on the highway, pay attention to concentration, do not drive "distracted cars", do not make phone calls, look at mobile phones, look for things, etc. Only by paying close attention to the road surface conditions at all times and finding abnormalities can we quickly judge and take measures to avoid risks.
04 Respond appropriately and refuse to "double accidents"
If you unfortunately hit an animal on the highway, especially if it is large, it is necessary to stop at the emergency stop zone for inspection. After turning on the double flashing lights, set up a triangle warning sign 150 meters behind the car (in case of rain and fog, the distance needs to be raised to 200 meters), evacuate all personnel in the car to a safe area outside the guardrail, and call the police in time.
