Recently, BYD successfully won the bid for the Azerbaijani government's electric bus procurement project, won the sales order of 160 12-meter electric buses K9UD, and plans to start shipping to Azerbaijan in batches this month.

According to the framework of the agreement, in addition to the order for 160 buses, the Azerbaijani government will purchase 200 electric buses per year from BYD from 2025 to 2028 and assemble them locally, and in the future, the two parties plan to carry out deeper cooperation in local production. In November this year, the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) will be held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and these electric buses will also help COP29 achieve green and low-carbon hosting.
