A few days ago, off the coast of Kinmen, the mainland coast guard boarded and inspected an illegal fishing vessel "Dajinman No. 88" from Penghu, Taiwan, and detained it and brought it back to the mainland.
After this news was transmitted back to Taiwan, it scared away many Taiwan fishing boats that were fishing illegally, and overnight, dense Taiwanese fishing boats poured back into the island overnight, running out of a posture of a thousand sails.
(After the "Dajinman 88" fishing boat was seized, the formation of Taiwanese fishing boats that were illegally salvaged nearby quickly ran away)
Since the vicious collision in Kinmen, the mainland coast guard has carried out regular law enforcement inspections in the waters of Xiamen.
The place where the fishing boat "Dajinman No. 88" was found was in the waters near Beiding Island off the coast of Kinmen. At that time, the fishing boat "Dajinman 88" was operating, and dozens of fishing boats from Taiwan were nearby.
While patrolling nearby, the Mainland Coast Guard spotted the boats and boarded them for inspection before seizing them and bringing them back to the mainland.
It is reported that at that time, there were six crew members on board the "Dajinman 88" fishing boat, including a captain and five foreigners. When the fishing boat was boarded and inspected by the mainland coast guard, it was less than 20 kilometers away from Jinjiang.
As for why the mainland coast guard seized the fishing boat this time, it was because of the following two reasons.
First of all, there is a fishing ban in the waters of Kinmen. Since May 1, the mainland has announced that the off-season fishing moratorium in the waters near Kinmen has officially begun, and that the fishing boat fishing in Kinmen is illegal.
We have all read the story of "Lige Breaking Gu Kuangjun", Lu Xuangong has no limit to fishing in Surabaya, and Lige cut his fishing net and taught him not to fish with all his might, but to follow the laws of nature.

In the same way, the purpose of the fishing ban on the mainland is also to protect aquatic organisms from recuperating during the critical reproductive stage, and at the same time to give opportunities for the restoration and reconstruction of fishery resources, so as to achieve long-term sustainable use of fishery resources.
In the long run, some fishing boats in Taiwan have violated this regulation, which will lead the rest of the fishing boats to follow suit and continue to fish on a large scale during the fishing ban period.
This will not only lead to the depletion of fishery resources and disrupt the balance of resource restoration, but also lead to a reduction in the resources that mainland fishermen can catch after the moratorium, further affecting their profits.
Therefore, in order to combat illegal fishing, the mainland must increase its regulatory efforts to reduce the burden on fisheries management authorities while protecting the long-term interests of all fishers.
Second, the "Dajinman No. 88" fishing boat, which was carrying a total of five foreigners, was only less than 20 kilometers away from the mainland in the waters off Kinmen, so it is easy to speculate whether it had impure motives, such as "smuggling."
The mainland coast guard's seizure of vessels suspected of illegal activities is also aimed at strictly enforcing the country's maritime laws.
Only by strengthening control can we avoid the threat to national security and social order caused by illegal activities such as "smuggling".

Moreover, Taiwan's fishing boats, especially those in Penghu, have long been habitual offenders of fishing during the fishing ban period, and Japan and the Philippines have become "commonplace" to illegal fishing by fishing boats in Penghu.
Previously, they were caught by the mainland for illegal fishing, and the mainland coast guard basically followed a set of processing procedures such as detaining boats, detaining people, and then fining and ransom people, and would not impose too heavy penalties on these fishermen.
This time, however, it was different, and after the mainland coast guard announced that it would bring back the Taiwan provincial boats, the Taiwan fishermen chose to report to the Taiwan authorities.
Subsequently, the Coast Guard of the Taiwan authorities urgently dispatched two patrol boats to try to rescue the detained boats. But when the Taiwan authorities arrived at the scene, the "Dajinman 88" fishing boat had already been escorted back by three mainland coast guards. Subsequently, two patrol boats dispatched by the Taiwan authorities were also surrounded by four coast guard ships dispatched by the mainland coast guard.
The two sides confronted each other for nearly an hour, with the two sides broadcasting to each other. Taiwan demanded that the mainland coast guard release the ship, and the mainland coast guard warned the Taiwan authorities that the coast guard should not interfere. In the end, the Taiwan Coast Guard rescued the boat to no avail, and could only watch the Penghu fishing boat being taken away.
Judging from the current tense situation in the Taiwan Strait, a large part of the reason why Penghu fishing boats dare to "arrogantly" operate during the fishing ban period is that they feel that there are Taiwan authorities behind them who can "support" them, and fishing during the fishing ban period is a provocation to the mainland.
Both the Taiwan authorities and the fishing boats that caught the illegal fishing this time believe that the mainland will continue to connive at them again and again.
(Taiwan leader Lai Ching-te)
However, the fact is that during the fishing ban period, all fishing boats on the mainland and Taiwan will be the same. The mainland has the right to board and inspect all fishing vessels that are illegally fishing at sea and detain them, and will also treat Taiwanese fishing vessels in the same way as mainland fishing vessels when punishing them.
If the Taiwan authorities fail to see the situation clearly, the mainland will let them see it clearly, and from then on it will be a "change of offensive and defensive type."
In the past, there was the "Anti-Secession Law" promulgated by the mainland, and then there was the iron fist and iron fist unleashed by the mainland in the waters off Kinmen. When the mainland launched a military exercise around Taiwan, it was ready to completely recover Taiwan, and the next step will only bring greater shock to the other side, and no one can be an exception.
