On August 20th, the signing ceremony of the 5th China-Arab States Expo project was held in Yinchuan. This expo signed 277 results, planned investment and trade total of 156.67 billion yuan, involving modern agriculture, clean energy, medical and health, digital economy and other fields. Chen Run'er, secretary of the regional party committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the signing ceremony, Xian Hui, deputy secretary of the regional party committee and chairman of the autonomous region, delivered a speech, and Cui Bo, chairman of the regional CPPCC committee, attended the signing ceremony.
Zhao Yongqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Regional Party Committee and executive vice chairman, released the results of the project signing cooperation. Autonomous region leaders Chen Yong, Lei Dongsheng, Zhang Zhu, Li Jinke, Ma Hancheng, and Peng Youdong attended the signing ceremony. Lai Jiao, member of the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Regional Party Committee and vice chairman of the Autonomous Region, presided over the meeting.
In his speech, Xian Hui said that Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and president of the People's Republic of China, has sent congratulatory letters to the five China-Arab States Expo in a row, providing fundamental guidelines for deepening China-Arab countries cooperation and jointly building the "Belt and Road". The pragmatic results of this expo further highlight the brand effect of the China-Arab States Expo and further demonstrate the broad prospects of the "Belt and Road". Ningxia is willing to work with all parties to jointly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter, jointly implement the agreements reached at the Expo, and make new and greater contributions to building the "Belt and Road" into a road of cooperation, health, recovery and growth. It is understood that the total number of signed achievements in this expo is 277, and the total planned investment and trade is 156.67 billion yuan. Among them, there are 199 investment projects with an investment volume of 153.92 billion yuan; 24 trade projects with a trade volume of 2.75 billion yuan; and 54 policy reports and memorandum agreements. The signed results cover electronic information, clean energy, new materials, green food, production capacity cooperation, "Internet + medical health", tourism cooperation and other fields, involving 154 cooperation projects in "nine key industries", with an investment of 127.68 billion yuan, accounting for 55.6% and 81.5% of the total number of cooperation projects and total investment respectively.
The signing results involve three levels: the state, other provinces (municipalities) and autonomous regions. Among them, 8 cooperation achievements were signed at the national level, with a total investment of 11.18 billion yuan. At the provincial (municipal) level, 8 provinces and cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Zhejiang, Henan and Guangdong have signed 12 investment projects with Arab countries and other countries along the "Belt and Road" using the expo platform, with a total investment of 7.43 billion yuan. At the level of the autonomous region, 257 investment projects, trade projects and memorandum agreements were signed, with a total investment of 138.06 billion yuan.
During the conference, the autonomous regional government signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with China Resources Group, CRRC Group, Huawei Group, China Energy Construction Group, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, and Guangdong Mingyang Group, respectively, to promote the in-depth development of cooperation to a higher level and a wider range of fields, and lay a solid foundation for the development of key industrial clusters in Ningxia.
