Coal mine robots have entered the 2.0 era, and the practical application of gas inspection and auxiliary operation robots is the starting point

Researcher Wang Lei shared "Coal Mine Robot 2.0 Path Thinking". Wang Lei proposed that the development process of coal mine robots should be discussed in stages, and for the first time put forward the concept of coal mine robots entering the 2.0 stage, and analyzed the 1.0 stage of coal mine robots, and elaborated on the development path of the 2.0 stage, and introduced the specific research progress of the robot company in the 2.0 stage, and put forward the plan and prospect in the development of the industry and the coordination and co-construction of the central and local governments.

Coal mine robots have entered the 2.0 era, and the practical application of gas inspection and auxiliary operation robots is the starting point

Wang Lei pointed out that in the 1.0 stage of coal mine robots, there has been progress in products, technologies, key units and industrial chains, which are manifested as: inspection robots have autonomous movement, autonomous perception, and partial autonomous decision-making; Auxiliary operation robots are built from scratch, and some of them are used in underground, but their practicability is not high; Rescue robots: key technologies and complete machines have not been overcome; The technical system is still immature, the development is chaotic, and there is no general product platform; Technologies such as robot chassis and fixed place navigation are relatively mature, while technologies such as AI visual recognition, operation control, and long-distance navigation have not yet been overcome; The management and control platform can only realize cluster management and control such as task scheduling and operation and maintenance management of a small number of homogeneous and heterogeneous robots. Sort out the upstream and downstream industrial chains, form an industrial chain map, a supply chain map, and a list of core technologies; Lack of published national standards and industry standards, lack of testing and inspection capabilities; Some high-level scientific researchers have been absorbed into the coal industry, and there are about 115 coal mine robot practitioners. Since then, the coal mine robot has completed the 1.0 stage, the industry has been initially born, and most of the products have been realized from scratch, and the number of manufacturers has gradually increased.

Coal mine robots have entered the 2.0 era, and the practical application of gas inspection and auxiliary operation robots is the starting point

Summary of the basic characteristics of the 1.0 stage

The robot company in the 1.0 phase also addressed the question "What is a coal mine robot?" What's wrong with coal mining robots? How to go on the path of coal mine robot? The first "robot +" industry organization was established, the first coal mine robot classification system was released, a number of leading cognitions of coal mine robots were formed, and a large number of rich achievements were rapidly accumulated in technology, products, and talents. In view of the reliability and environmental adaptability of the ontology, ten common technologies of coal mine robots were proposed. In terms of core components, software technology, robotized application technology, etc., the common blocking points and stuck points were analyzed. It has developed 7 kinds and 22 types of inspection robots, 6 kinds and 12 auxiliary operation robots, which have been applied in more than 100 coal mine sites.

Summarizing the core problems of the industry in the 1.0 stage, it is found that although some applications have been made, the products are messy, the technology is scattered, the industrial chain is not perfect, the testing and inspection capabilities need to be improved urgently, and there is a lack of talents. The intelligent level, long-term reliability and quality of inspection robots need to be improved urgently, and technologies such as AI and large models have not been fully applied in coal mine scenarios. The design concept and technical context of auxiliary operation robots are not yet clear, and the basic theory and key technological technologies have not yet been broken through. The intelligent path of coal machine robot is not clear, limited by the slow progress of traditional thinking, and has not been effectively combined with artificial intelligence enterprises and robot enterprises; The supply chain is weak, the industrial chain is not perfect, there is a lack of standards and inspection and testing specifications, the lack of testing bases and pilot test bases, and the supply of medium and high-end R&D talents who understand both coal mines and robots is seriously insufficient.

Wang Lei pointed out that the mechanism and function of the moving mechanism (foot), actuator (hand) and perception system (eye, ear, mouth and nose) of the coal mine robot have been completed in the 1.0 stage, and the focus of the 2.0 stage is to solve the problems of motion control, hand and foot coordination, autonomous operation, perception accuracy, information call and intelligent decision-making, therefore, the embodied intelligent coal mine robot is proposed.

Coal mine robots have entered the 2.0 era, and the practical application of gas inspection and auxiliary operation robots is the starting point

In the 2.0 stage, coal mine robots should refer to regulations, environment, technology and other elements to accelerate the development of decision-making systems (brains) and task strategies (cerebellum), and realize intelligence in multiple dimensions such as perception, decision-making, operation, and movement. "Offline autonomy, online intelligence, data integration, and behavior management" are important features of the coal mine robot system in the 2.0 stage, after the robot realizes autonomous perception decision-making and operation, it is embedded in the mine production system, safety management system, and information management system, and can form a linkage with other intelligent equipment and robots of other manufacturers, so as to truly open up the whole mine data information and accurate management.

Wang Lei summarized the characteristics that should be possessed when the 2.0 stage is completed: the embodied intelligent mining robot is basically formed, the stability and intelligence level is higher, the operation performance is stronger and the ability to integrate into the system, the industrial chain and supply chain are beginning to take shape, the products are accepted by most customers, and the number of users is growing rapidly. Among them, the characteristics of inspection robots and auxiliary operation robots entering the 2.0 stage are analyzed. The characteristics of the inspection category are mainly reflected in the coverage of more scenarios, more complete perception elements, greatly improved cruising range and reliability, robotization of AI technology to realize scene application, reasoning and decision-making capabilities, more convenient task deployment, configurable tasks, continuous integration of traditional coal mine laws and regulations, and stronger human-computer interaction. The characteristics of auxiliary operations are mainly reflected in the stronger ontology ability and reliability, the completion of the embodied intelligent system, the stronger ability of multi-arm collaboration, vehicle-arm collaboration, and human-computer interaction, the ability of operation effect evaluation and self-learning training, and the improvement of the ability to configure upstream and downstream tasks in the process.

2.0 Phase Completion feature

The specific research progress of the 2.0 stage of the robot company is mainly reflected in the products, technologies and components of the two types of robots of inspection and auxiliary operations. In terms of inspection robots, it mainly solves the problem of "why do you think that inspection robots are useless", and the key achievements include the redefinition of gas inspection robots, high-precision real-time dynamic roadway three-dimensional modeling technology, robotized inspection model research, robot self-diagnosis and task editable technology research, lightweight non-metallic tracks, inspection and fire robot research and development, etc. Wang Lei pointed out that with the acceleration of the intelligent process of coal mines, there will inevitably be more and more intelligent equipment underground, which requires a large number of personnel to carry out inspections, and also requires a large number of inspection robots to replace people; The robot can achieve flexible approaching observation, detection accuracy, cognitive understanding, analysis and decision-making ability is more intelligent, and inspection robots should flourish in the future! In terms of auxiliary operation robots, it mainly solves the problem of "everyone thinks it is useful, but why is it not easy to use now", and gradually overcomes the problems in the process of on-site use such as spraying robots and water silo dredging robots by decoupling the process of process into robot technology, and proposes corresponding solutions; Based on the key project of the National Key R&D Program "Intelligent Robot" - the key technology and application demonstration project of large-scale coal mine underground roadway auxiliary operation robot, 6 parametric process models of 4 kinds of robots for drilling, pipe grabbing, dust flushing and cleaning have been constructed and completed.

In the 2.0 stage, the robot company released the general technical architecture of coal mine robots for the first time, and set up 17 technical lines such as navigation, vision, audio, and 3D reconstruction in four technical fields: ontology, AI, perception technology operation unit, task strategy and simulation. Ten directions of coal mine robot process technology with the blessing of artificial intelligence are proposed; Declare three national standard projects, including general safety requirements, general technical conditions and experimental methods for underground mining robots; Cooperate with the National Robot Testing and Evaluation Center (Chongqing) to establish a joint research center; Based on the national key R&D plan "Intelligent Robot Special Project", the test standards for auxiliary operation robots are formulated, and the coal mine safety standards of the coal mine robot industry and the formal inspection standards of the robot industry are truly promoted. The construction of pilot bases has been carried out in Shenzhen and Shenyang to build the foundation of the coal mine robot industry.
