India's two mixed doubles pairs were defeated by Japan and Sweden to reach the semi-finals, while in singles, India's Achanta and Nanasekaran were beaten by Maharu Yoshimura and Teruku Matsushima, and Nanaseka was beaten 0-3. Women's singles Batra, Golpard, and Chitale are out, and Batra also lost to the Japanese player.
Not only singles, but also men's and women's doubles were swept by France, Men's Doubles was swept by France, Women's Doubles Akula/A. Mukherjee was out, and the other Women's Doubles pair was swept by Japan. Puerto Rico Diaz beat Japan's Kasumi Kimura to advance to the quarterfinals, with Kimura knocking out India's Akula.
