In order to ensure that the M2 Pro M.2 SSD cooler has good installation compatibility, Arctic uses regular aluminum materials and controls the overall dimensions to 73 x 24.2 x 10.5mm, which can meet the needs of gamers in the M.2 slot under the graphics card slot of PlayStation 5 series game consoles and motherboards. In addition, the M2 Pro M.2 SSD heatsink adopts an easy-to-remove clip design, which does not require screws to fix it, making it easier for users to install and operate.
The heatsink comes with two TP-3 silicone pads with a thickness of 1mm and 1.5mm, which are soft and insulating and have weak adhesion to the surface of the SSD. In terms of thermal conductivity, Arctic's official measured TP-3 silicone pad is in the forefront of similar products, better than Limin's Odyssey and its own previous generation of TP-2.
Arctic's official test data also shows that the M2 Pro M.2 SSD cooler with the flagship-level PCIe 4.0 SSD Samsung 990 PRO 1TB can reduce the temperature by up to 40°C compared to the case without heat dissipation, and can smoothly suppress the temperature in the range below 55°C, which can avoid the problem of high temperature and speed down of the SSD and reduce the risk of failure to a certain extent.
