Xu Gu'an, a painter and art critic, was born in Shanghai in June 1943. Alias: Zen Wind Listening to the Rain. A member of the Shanghai Artists Association, a member of the Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences, and a member of the China Film Artists Association, he began to publish his works in 1962, and has won many awards and honorary titles, published more than 10,000 art works, published hundreds of art reviews and appreciation articles, and thousands of comic book adaptations or original scripts. National first-class artist, president of Shanghai Hanlin Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, chief art critic of China Metro Card Network, chief cultural ambassador of Western Medical Group, chief consultant of Jardine Hui Hanlin Museum of Chinese Studies, chief artist of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Society, professor of China Academy of Arts, academician and professor of the Royal Academy of Arts, doctor and honorary president of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy, vice president of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, his works have been collected by people from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, the United States, France, Canada and other countries.
