In China's Yanqing Global Geopark in Qianjiadian Township, there are a large number of fossilized dinosaur footprints about 140 million to 150 million years old, which is the first time that traces of dinosaurs have been found in the Beijing area. The video shows the whole picture of the world-class geological relics "Qianjiadian Dinosaur Footprint Fossil Origin" with multi-angle real-life shooting, reproduces the dinosaur living environment and the formation process of fossil footprints with vivid three-dimensional models, compares the characteristics of theropod, ornithopod and sauropod dinosaur footprint fossils, and introduces the important research value of footprint fossils in paleontology, geology and other disciplines.
These precious fossils have high scientific significance and scientific research value, which is an important wealth for the development of eco-tourism in Qianjiadian Town. In recent years, Qianjiadian Town has adhered to the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, combined the protection of dinosaur footprints with the construction of ecological civilization and the development of the tourism industry, continuously strengthened the protection, inheritance and development of the town, and interpreted the concept of respect for natural heritage and sustainable development with practical actions.
In order to effectively protect dinosaur footprints, Qianjiadian Town has established a long-term mechanism, adopted the protection method of "scientific management + public education", and protected dinosaur footprints from natural erosion and man-made damage by setting up a 24-hour management inspection team to patrol in shifts and using drones for regular inspections, and by holding theme lectures and special lectures, etc., to improve the awareness and protection awareness of dinosaur footprints among villagers and tourists, help the public understand the historical value and scientific significance of dinosaur footprints, and encourage, Everyone is invited to participate in the conservation work.
In order to let the inheritance of dinosaur footprints "start from the baby", Qianjiadian Town and Qianjiadian Central Primary School have strengthened cooperation, created a "geological and cultural square" with the function of "leisure place and education platform" in the school, and opened a series of "geological science" small classes to integrate geological heritage cultural knowledge into daily education and stimulate students' interest in learning and exploration. Qianjiadian Town also held a series of outdoor activities such as cross-country races and riding parades with the theme of exploring dinosaur footprints, so that tourists and participants can feel the charm of dinosaur footprints up close.
In order to fully carry forward the dinosaur footprint culture, Qianjiadian Town has made full use of the resource endowment to develop a dinosaur park with the theme of dinosaur footprints, formulate a dinosaur footprint theme research and study tour route, and build an intangible cultural heritage experience base for making dinosaur footprints flower buns, so as to provide tourists with a rich and colorful entertainment experience.
Since 2011, with the strong boost of dinosaur footprints and the joint efforts of the whole town, the tourism development of Qianjiadian Town has achieved a quantitative and qualitative leap, with nearly 4,300 people engaged in tourism and transfer employment in the town, and eco-tourism has contributed 80% to the employment of permanent residents. The number of folk households in the town has increased from more than 100 to 309, and the boutique homestay has achieved a breakthrough of zero, with 32 households and 102 courtyards with different characteristics, including Baili Township Residence, which has promoted the generation of more than 500 jobs directly and indirectly related to dinosaur footprints, which has greatly promoted the regional economic development.
At the same time, Qianjiadian Town has carefully implemented the landscape improvement project along the Heibai River, and built 58 kilometers of waterfront corridors and cycling trails of "enjoying flowers in spring, green in summer, red leaves in autumn, and snow in winter". Next, Qianjiadian Town will accelerate the construction of the Heibai River Ecological Corridor and other major projects, and realize a virtuous cycle of high-quality economic development and high-level protection of the ecological environment while exploring the effective path of transforming lucid waters and lush mountains into gold and silver mountains.
