This kind of large, thin-skinned, soft and waxy taste, sweet purple artichoke is very competitive in the market, and has found a new way for the local people to increase their income.
At the planting base, local cadres and people are busy harvesting artichokes. They lifted the mulch film and brushed away the floating soil with their hands, and the purple artichokes with full shape and bright color broke through the soil.
The Science and Technology Institute of Diantou Village, Erjie Town, jointly established by the Potato Science Research Institute of Yunnan Normal University, Yunnan Fugui Phosphorus Chemical Co., Ltd. and Diantou Village, mainly grows and cultivates purple potatoes "Shida No. 6", which has higher nutritional value than conventional varieties and is rich in antioxidants.
It is understood that the purple artichoke is a non-GMO variety, which is a medium-early maturing and characteristic potato bred by Yunnan Normal University, with an average yield of about 3 tons per mu, and the market price is also higher than that of ordinary artichoke, so it is affectionately called "Purple Qi Donglai".
In the next step, the science and technology courtyard of Diantou Village will steadily expand the planting area of purple artichoke, gradually promote the deep processing of products, and strive to further improve and strengthen the purple artichoke industry, improve the scientific and technological level of the artichoke industry, and link agriculture with agriculture to help the rural revitalization of Diantou Village and make farmers rich.
