The Tang Dynasty, which flourished and fell, was roughly the same as the early and late prosperity of the poetry world.
In the Tang Dynasty, half of it is in the history books, and the other half is in the poems.
A dream for a thousand years, a dream back to the Tang Dynasty.
In the starry sky of Tang Dynasty poetry, there are two stars that are unusually eye-catching, that is, the poet immortal Li Bai and the poet saint Du Fu.
If Tang poetry is the peak of poetry, then these two are the peak of this peak.
Because of this immortal saint, the Tang Dynasty has become more colorful and the culture has become more confident.
Fortunately, Li Bai and Du Fu were active in the same period, so that we can see the exchange and collision between these two gods, and see the rare scene of the sun shining together.
In the third year of Tianbao, Li Bai, who left Chang'an, went to Luoyang, the eastern capital, in the summer of this year, and it was here that he met Du Fu, who was 11 years younger than him.
The meeting between Li Bai and Du Fu, the two greatest poets in the history of Chinese literature, was later known as the meeting of the sun and the moon, but it was just ordinary at the time.
At this time, the 33-year-old Du Fu, although he was talented and wrote poetry like a god, his poetry name was far less than that of Li Bai.
Li Bai is his idol, and as soon as he met Du Fu, he became a fan brother, and he willingly followed the eldest brother behind him.
Of course, the 44-year-old Li Bai was not arrogant because of this, but cherished his little friend Du Fu, and the two formed a deep friendship because of this encounter, and agreed to roam again in the autumn.
In the autumn, Li Du and the two met as promised, traveled through the mountains and rivers together, visited the Tao and sought immortals, and in the process, they also met another great poet Gao Shi, and the two-person line became a threesome.
This autumn, they traveled hand in hand, roamed the places of interest, drank and wrote poems along the way, talked about the past and the present, and left a lot of poems for future generations.
But the time of pleasure always passes quickly, when the autumn is over, Du Fu wants to go back to Luoyang, Gao Shi goes south to Chudi, Li Bai wants to go to Qizhou, and the three go their separate ways.
Li Bai and Gao Shi failed to meet again, but they reunited with Du Fu the following year, leaving a good story again.
In the autumn of the fourth year of Tianbao (745), the two met in Qizhou, after many days, Li Bai gave the Taoist urn as he wished, but Du Fu lost weight, for which he also wrote a poem to ridicule Du Fu, the full poem is as follows:
"Drama for Du Fu"
The rice mountain is full of Du Fu, and the top of the hat is Zhuo Wu.
Don't be too thin by asking, always bitter for the past poems.
Meaning: When you met Du Fu again at noon that day, you wore a huge straw hat to shade the sun, because you were too thin, so it looked a little funny. I want to ask you why you have lost so much weight in the days you have left, it must be because you have lost so much energy to write poetry.
Some people say that Li Bai looked down on Du Fu, so he wrote this poem to ridicule him.
But I don't think so, although Li Bai is conceited and talented, he will never look down on his friends, let alone Du Fu.
Du Fu was born into a family, and when he was young, he was also a confident and wild person, otherwise he would not have written poems such as "the pen is like a god" and "a glance at the mountains".
And Li Du and Du were able to meet twice and three times in more than a year, which is enough to show the deep friendship between the two.
Therefore, this poem is completely a joke between friends.
Li Bai's self-questioning and self-answering, "Don't be too thin by asking, always suffer for the past poems", not only reveals his recognition of Du Fu's talent, but also expresses his consolation and concern for his friends.
Little brother, you are indeed very good at writing poetry, but don't suffer yourself because you focus on writing poetry! Look at how thin you are now, and you must pay attention to your body! Only with a good body can you write better poetry.
Li Bai's poem is humorous and witty, sarcastic but not abusive, reflecting Li Bai's confidant and care, and reflecting the deep relationship between the two.
It is precisely because of this that the two once again traveled hand in hand, visited relatives and friends, and spent a chic and happy time.
Many years later, Du Fu often recalled this unforgettable time with Li Bai when he "drunk and slept in autumn together, and walked hand in hand with the sun and the moon".
But there is no banquet in the world that will not be dispersed, and Li Du and the two will eventually separate.
In the winter of this year, in Shimen Mountain in Qufu, Shandong, Du Fu and Li Bai gave wine and poems to each other and said goodbye to each other.
It's a pity that since then, the two have walked on their own life paths and never met again.
