On May 14, the gate customs under Gongbei Customs seized three cases of passengers kidnapping mobile phones into the country at Gongbei Port, involving a total of 135 old mobile phones.
At about 17:30 on the same day, Liang, a man wearing short-sleeved shorts, entered the country through the "undeclared channel" of the customs in the passenger inspection hall of Gongbei Port. The customs officer at the scene noticed that his expression was abnormal and his steps were stiff, so he stopped him for investigation. Upon further examination, a large number of old mobile phones tied with plastic film were seized from the man's waist and abdomen, legs and thighs, totaling 54 units.
Within the following 4 hours, the on-site customs officers successively seized two men wearing loose clothes, Yang and Zhang, and seized 44 and 37 old mobile phones tied by the same method from their waists, abdomen, and legs respectively.
Customs reminds that, according to the relevant regulations, those who evade customs supervision by concealing, camouflaging, concealing, making false declarations or other means, transporting, carrying or mailing goods or articles that are prohibited or restricted by the state from entering or leaving the country or goods or articles that shall pay taxes in accordance with the law are smuggling, and if the circumstances are serious and constitute a crime, they will be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law.
