Journey to the West: After getting into the belly of Princess Iron Fan, why didn't Wukong take the opportunity to kill her?

The first time Sun Wukong went to borrow a banana fan, Princess Iron Fan held a grudge, thinking that Wukong had harmed his son Red Boy, so in a fit of anger, Sun Wukong was fanned to Little Sumeru Mountain, 50,000 miles away.

Lingji Bodhisattva took out the Dingfeng Pill given to him by the Buddha and handed it to Sun Wukong. With Dingfeng Dan, Sun Wukong doesn't have to be afraid of banana fans. Sure enough, when Wukong found Princess Iron Fan again, no matter how Princess Iron Fan fanned the wind, Wukong didn't move at all.

After the Iron Fan Princess returned to the house, Wukong turned into a leech insect in order to borrow a banana fan and landed in the tea. While Princess Iron Fan was drinking tea, Wukong entered Princess Iron Fan's belly.

In the belly of Princess Iron Fan, Goku tossed a few times. The Iron Fan Princess was in unbearable pain and had to hand over the banana fan. However, she actually handed over a fake banana fan.

Here's a question: Obviously she is already in the belly of Princess Iron Fan, why didn't Sun Wukong toss her to death? In this case, wouldn't it be easy for Goku to get the banana fan? You won't be deceived by the Iron Fan Princess. In that case, why didn't Goku kill Princess Iron Fan?

This question has also been asked in the barrage of Journey to the West film and television dramas. Actually, when I first read this paragraph, I also had this question. But as you read on, this doubt is solved. Speaking of which, there are four main reasons.

Journey to the West: After getting into the belly of Princess Iron Fan, why didn't Wukong take the opportunity to kill her?

First, Wukong cherishes his name and refuses to do such a thing

Sun Wukong protects Tang Seng to learn scriptures, although he has to deal with many monsters along the way, but he also has his own principles and bottom line. That is, try to go head-to-head with the monster as much as possible, and don't engage in sneak attacks. This approach is in line with the "name of a good man" and the "practice of a good man".

For example, Sun Wukong and Golden Retriever fought each other, and Golden Retriever couldn't beat Sun Wukong, and he excused himself by saying that he was hungry and wanted to go home for dinner. In fact, he just wanted to go back to his nest and get his magic weapon, Zijin Bell. Sun Wukong knew that he was going to take the magic weapon, but he still agreed.

If Wukong doesn't pay attention to these, he will directly entangle the golden retriever and beat him to death; Or just take out the real purple gold bell, and then deal with the golden retriever.

For women, Wukong cherishes his name even more, and refuses to take the opportunity to kill them, such as the seven spider spirits, when they were taking a bath, Wukong could have taken the opportunity to destroy after seeing it, but Wukong didn't do it.

The walker said, "If I beat him, I just stir this stick into the pool, and it will be called boiling soup and throwing rats, and all the litters will die." Wretched! Wretched! beat him to death, but he lowered the name of Lao Sun. As the saying goes, men don't fight with women, and it's really not good for a man like me to kill these girls. Don't beat him, just give him a last resort, teach him that he can't move his body and can't get out of the water, how much is better. ”

In fact, why think so much about dealing with youkai? But Sun Wukong just didn't want to do this, he cherished his name and refused to sneak attack behind his back. Otherwise, the spider spirit would have been killed long ago.

Journey to the West: After getting into the belly of Princess Iron Fan, why didn't Wukong take the opportunity to kill her?

When dealing with the green lion, Wukong also got into his stomach. It stands to reason that Wukong could take the opportunity to kill the green lion, but Wukong didn't do that.

It turned out that this great sage didn't eat much wine, so he took him seven or eight pounds and ate them, sprinkled the wine wind in his stomach, kept the bracket, fell four flats, kicked his feet, grabbed the liver flower and hit the swing, erected a dragonboat, and turned over the roots and danced. The monster fell to the ground in pain...... Although the great sage is a hero, he is very progressive for Tang Seng, and when he saw the demons complaining and flattering people, he also replied to his good thoughts, and shouted: "Monster, I spare you, how can you send me master?" ”

The most obvious is that Sun Wukong dealt with the rat spirit. At that time, Wukong also got into the stomach of the rat spirit, but he didn't take the opportunity to toss the dead rat spirit, but just let the rat spirit release Tang Seng.

When the walker heard this in his belly, he was afraid that the elders would be merciful and be coaxed by him again, so he jumped with his fists and feet, and the bracket was straightened out, and he almost broke the leather suit. The goblin could not bear the pain, and fell to the dust, and did not dare to speak for a long time. ‘

Worried that the goblin was dead, Goku also deliberately let go. It can be seen that Wukong is not a person who "takes advantage of your illness and wants your life", he is a bright and upright man, and he refuses to kill the goblin by such indiscriminate means.

Because of this, although Wukong got into the belly of Princess Iron Fan, he refused to take the opportunity to die. Otherwise, Princess Iron Fan would have been killed by him.

Second, Wukong needs Princess Iron Fan to hand over the banana fan

The reason why Wukong got into the belly of the Iron Fan Princess was for one purpose, that is, to get the banana fan. And where is the banana fan? How does it work? These questions have to be asked to Princess Iron Fan. After all, the banana fan is a magic weapon, not something that can be used just for use.

The walker said: "I can see it with the fan." The rakshasa then told the girl to take a banana fan and hold it beside her. The walker reached above his throat and said, "Sister-in-law, since I spare your life, I will not dig a hole under your waist and ribs, but also come out of my mouth." You open your mouth three times. The Rakshasa opened his mouth.

Just imagine, if Wukong tossed the Iron Fan Princess to death, then how could he take the banana fan? Could it be that when the princess of the iron fan dies, Wukong will come out to rummage through the banana fan again? That's obviously impossible.

Third, Wukong also has to look at the face of his eldest brother, the Bull Demon King

Wukong actually attaches great importance to brotherhood, at least the Bull Demon King who worships him as a brother, he respects it very much. In front of the Huoyun Cave, after learning that Red Boy is the son of the Bull Demon King, Wukong first behaves very happy.

The gods said: "Speaking of him, or the great sage also knows." He is the son of the Bull Demon King and was raised by a Rakshasa woman. He had practiced in the Flame Mountain for three hundred years, refining the 'Samadhi True Fire', but he also had great magical powers. The Bull Demon King sent him to guard the mountain, and his name was Red Child, and he was called the Holy Child King. When the traveler heard this, his heart was filled with joy.

Because Sun Wukong has never done anything to be sorry for the Bull Demon King, even if he has been pressed under the Five Elements Mountain for more than 500 years, the Bull Demon King has not gone to see him, and he doesn't mind. Therefore, after learning that Red Boy was the son of the Bull Demon King, he was very happy, and said to Bajie that the master must be fine.

The walker said, "Why are you so human? As the saying goes, 'A leaf of duckweed returns to the sea, and people don't meet anywhere', even if he doesn't recognize his relatives, his good ways will not hurt my master. If you don't want him to stay at the banquet, you will definitely return me to Tang Seng. ”

Obviously, Sun Wukong also took into account the feelings of the Bull Demon King. When dealing with Princess Iron Fan, Goku does the same.

Narakshasa couldn't help but feel heartache, and he only rolled on the ground, so painful that his face was yellow and his lips were white, and he only called "Uncle Sun spare his life!" But the walker retracted his hands and feet and said, "Do you know your uncle?" I see that Brother Niu is in love, and I will spare your life. Bring me the fan quickly. ”

Here, Sun Wukong said very clearly, if it weren't for the face of the Bull Demon King, it is estimated that he would really be able to kill Princess Iron Fan. Even if Goku doesn't toss her to death in his stomach, he can come out and kill her.

Fourth, Princess Iron Fan has a prototype character and she can't die

Have you noticed that the Iron Fan Princess is a little weird? What's the strangeness? It's in herself. Yes, the Bull Demon King himself is a cow, and what is the Iron Fan Princess herself? He is neither a heavenly god nor an animal spirit.

If you want to find out the identity of the Iron Fan Princess, you have to go back and start from the source.

The image of the Iron Fan Princess originates from the Devil Mother, the Rakshasa Girl and the Iron Fan Demon.

The ghost son and mother were originally Buddhist figures, and in the "Miscellaneous Matters of the Root Saying of All Sarvastivada Vinayas" written by the monk Yijing in the Tang Dynasty, such a story is recorded:

Because the devil had evil wishes in the previous life, he is evil in this life. She gave birth to 500 sons, the youngest of whom was called Ai'er, and she was the most beloved by the devil's mother. Later, the devil's mother forcibly ate the child, and sometimes even the pregnant woman was caught and eaten. Everyone had no choice but to tell the Buddha, and the Buddha asked him to arrest Ai'er and detain him in a bowl. The Buddha told the devil and the mother: You have 500 sons, and if you have one, you will be very sad. Those people originally had one or two children, and they were eaten by you, how sad are they? The words of the Buddha touched the mother of the devil, so she and her son took refuge in the Buddha from then on. (This is also the source of the story of the red child)

This story has been written into the miscellaneous drama "Journey to the West" in the Yuan Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, there were various versions of the "Unveiling the Bowl Map", which painted this story.

After talking about the devil and the mother, let's take a look at the Rakshasa Girl. The story of the Rakshasa Girl originates from the Yuan Miscellaneous Drama, she was originally an immortal in the heavenly realm, but her status was very low, and she was only responsible for carrying the flag.

Pang Po, you are the Rakshasa of the Upper Realm. Feng Mao, you are a good boy. Your family is not as good as a girl's spiritual omen, but it is the Seven Treasures and Eight Treasures Temple of Luojia Mountain in Putuo in the South China Sea, called Yuantong, and the name is Guanyin Bodhisattva. - "Pang Jushi Mistakenly Released the Debt"

The so-called flag is a kind of long flag. It can be seen that the Rogue's status in heaven is not high, and she may be just a maid.

Journey to the West: After getting into the belly of Princess Iron Fan, why didn't Wukong take the opportunity to kill her?

Let's look at the iron fan demon in the Yuan miscellaneous drama "Journey to the West".

Yang Jingxian of the Yuan Dynasty wrote about the iron fan demon in the miscellaneous drama "Journey to the West". The iron fan demon was originally the god of wind and was an immortal in the sky. Once she got drunk and got into an argument with the Queen Mother. In a fit of rage, the iron fan demon went down to the heavenly palace and became a monster. It's obviously the god of wind, why is it called the Iron Fan Demon? It turned out to be because she had an iron fan.

There is a woman on the eastern side of the mountain, named Princess Iron Fan. The mountain where he lives is called the Iron Peak. Make an iron fan, weighing more than 1,000 catties, with 24 bones on it, according to 24 qi a year, one fan wind, two fans rain, three fans of fire that are extinguished, can pass. - The eighteenth episode of the Yuan miscellaneous drama "Journey to the West".

In other words, the Iron Fan Princess in "Journey to the West" is based on the Devil Mother, the Rakshasa Girl and the Iron Fan Demon. Wu Chengen integrated the feelings of the devil's mother for her youngest son into the body of the iron fan demon, which constituted the iron fan princess. Therefore, the iron fan princess in "Journey to the West" has a banana treasure fan, also called a Rakshasa girl, and loves red children very much.

It is precisely because the Iron Fan Princess has a prototype character, and whether it is the Devil Son and Mother, the Rakshasa Girl or the Iron Fan Demon, she did not die in the end, especially the Devil Son and Mother, and she also converted to the Buddha.

Finally, Journey to the West also wrote the ending of Princess Iron Fan, which is a tribute to the devil's mother.

Narakshasa took the fan. Recite a mantra, pinch it into an apricot leaf, puff it in your mouth, thank the saints, practice incognito, and later get the right fruit, which is famous in the Tibetan eternal.

It can only be said that the archetypal character of the devil is too powerful. The Iron Fan Princess was able to get the right result, and it was precisely because of the devil's mother. Therefore, the author can't write that Sun Wukong killed Princess Iron Fan, otherwise he will destroy the ending of the prototype character.
