Ji Xiaolan was born in 1724, that is, the second year of Yongzheng, according to historical records, Ji Xiaolan's family is a well-known local family.
Counting seven generations from Ji Xiaolan up, the Ji family is a literati and ink writer who has never stopped reading, Ji Xiaolan's great-grandfather, great-grandfather, and grandfather, all of whom have made great achievements, and then entered the court as officials.
Ji Xiaolan's father, Ji Rongshu, served as an official in the household department during the Kangxi period, and later developed in the criminal department.
