In this regard, the Mawei traffic police said that in response to the public's complaints about illegal parking, more manpower has been sent to inspect the road sections. The staff of the Mawei town government said that the parking lot plan involves multiple departments and cannot be answered for the time being.
Mr. Luo, who lives in a community near Tiepan Branch Road, said that in the past few years, the phenomenon of illegal parking of vehicles has been repeatedly prohibited, and the two lanes of Tiepan Branch Road have become single lanes, and he has to "queue up" when he gets home from work every day. "There are two primary schools, a middle school, and a kindergarten in the vicinity, and parents will park their cars on the side of the road in the morning and evening. There are many restaurants on Rujiang East Road, and diners will gather here to eat at noon and evening. Mr. Luo also said that vehicles were illegally parked on the curbs and sidewalks before, but recently due to the construction of the subway on Rujiang East Road, vehicles were parked in the lanes. Mr. Luo believes that the repeated prohibition of illegal parking of vehicles is not only because the number of surrounding parking lots cannot meet the needs of the masses, but also because some citizens have the psychology of "greedy for small and cheap".

At about 3 o'clock in the afternoon of May 17, the reporter came to Rujiang East Road and found that although it was not the peak period at this time, there were still many illegal vehicles parked on the roadside. Although the electronic screen of the nearest "Weihan Road Intersection Parking Lot" shows that there are still more than 140 spaces, the internal space is not large. And, although there are still spaces in the parking lot, there are still several illegally parked vehicles outside the parking lot. The nearby on-site parking lot is also closed to the public.

The reporter noticed that some traffic police patrolled the roadside and reminded the owner of the illegal parking to correct. A duty officer of the traffic police brigade of the Mawei District Public Security Bureau told reporters that after discovering illegal parking vehicles, they will first issue an "illegal parking reminder correction sheet" to remind the owner to leave within 10 minutes, and if the driver has not arrived after 10 minutes, a fine of 100 yuan will be imposed. The officer on duty said helplessly that some car owners would temporarily drive away after receiving the reminder, and then park the car on the side of the road when the duty officer left.

The reporter learned from the traffic police department that since May, the Mawei traffic police have arranged special personnel to strengthen the frequency of inspections in response to the complaints of the masses about illegal parking, and 632 cases of copying on the surrounding roads. At the same time, the Mawei traffic police also walked into the campus and called on the parents of students to go green and minimize the frequency of driving motor vehicles to pick up and drop off their children.
Is it possible to add a parking lot to solve the parking problem? In this regard, the reporter also visited the Mawei Town Government, and a staff member of the Propaganda Department responded that the parking lot planning involves multiple departments and cannot give a reply to the reporter for the time being. Previously, in an interview with other media, the town government staff said that they are still studying and judging the issue of adding a parking lot, and will currently organize volunteers to go to the scene to persuade during peak hours.
