The reconstruction and expansion project of No. 1100 Jungong Road, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, is a key link in the overall construction plan of the university, and is also an important milestone in the development strategy of the university to build a "high-level local university" and run a "first-class science and engineering university with remarkable characteristics".

The reporter learned that the scientific planning of the reconstruction and expansion project was carried out in two steps: demolition and construction. The first step is to "demolish the old", giving priority to completing the demolition and renovation of the original underground buildings, gardens, sports fields and pipelines, and demolishing a total of 9,876.8 square meters of old buildings such as student dormitory buildings in the base. The second step is to focus on "building new", with a total construction area of 61,650 square meters, including 1 teaching complex, 3 student apartment buildings, 1 library and administrative complex building and 1 underground garage.
Based on the special environment of the campus, the project team actively established a communication mechanism. In case of special links such as loud noise and dust, communicate and prompt with the school in advance to ensure the smooth progress of construction. In addition, in order to strengthen supervision and management, the project has set up a full-time post for complaint docking to solve the needs of all parties in a timely manner and ensure the high standard and efficient construction of the project.
