MeetU Lab, in collaboration with the Gold Mantis School of Architecture of Soochow University, will present a research demonstration on KIC KIC Daxue Road and KIC Urban Renewal. MeetU Lab is a public innovation joint laboratory project created by KIC and the College of Design and Innovation of Tongji University.

In December 2023, KIC joined hands with Tongji University Community Garden and Community Construction Experimental Center and Clover Hall to jointly launch the Daxue Road Urban Furniture Co-creation Initiative. The action uses participatory design to discuss urban furniture design with diverse groups of people, and embeds movable, multi-scene, multi-functional, and local urban furniture into Daxue Road Pedestrian Street, surrounding nodes or community spaces. It is hoped that the competition will further stimulate the vitality of Daxue Road space and promote the public's thinking and observation of public space.
The eight shortlisted works in this event will be exhibited on the limited-time pedestrian street, exploring X possibilities of urban touch.

The first project was a public innovation joint laboratory project created by KIC and the School of Design and Innovation of Tongji University in 2022. In 2024, "Knock on the Door" will be officially upgraded to KIC local community IP, bringing a variety of inspirational activities to local residents.
