In fact, the general significance of the radish pit is:

However, in examinations organized by national or provincial bodies, such as civil servants, their impartiality and rigor are greatly guaranteed. Even with the so-called "turnip pit", candidates have to go through a rigorous selection process that, while perhaps relatively low, is by no means without its challenges.
Of course, there are candidates who are unexpectedly replaced every year due to the "turnip pit", but this phenomenon also reflects the progress of the current personnel selection system. It shows that even bureau-level leaders can hardly arrange the establishment as they wish, and the threshold for black-box operations has been significantly raised. This reflects the fact that for ordinary candidates, the opportunity to obtain a civil service position through fair competition has become more fair and promising.
