Yanyu Jiangnan, a new chapter of career change
The drizzle in the south of the Yangtze River, like smoke and mist, gently sprinkled on the bluestone slabs, making a subtle ticking sound. I stood at the mouth of this ancient alley, looking at the hazy scenery in the distance, but my heart was like waves. Not long ago, I suffered a career change when I was laid off from the company. The stability and comfort of the past seemed to disappear overnight, leaving only confusion and anxiety about the future.
"If life is only as first seen, what is the autumn wind and sad fan." I chanted in a low voice, but my heart was full of bitterness. In this rainy Jiangnan, I seem to have become a headless fly, running into walls everywhere, but I can never find my own direction. However, I know that I can't just sink like that, I have to pick myself up and find a new way out.
After much deliberation, I decided to change careers. I know, it's not easy, but I'm willing to try. So, I started looking for industries that might be right for me, hoping to find a glimmer of light in this fog.
1. Education industry
"The peach and plum do not speak, and the next is its own." The education industry came to mind first. In this era, knowledge is power, and teachers are the transmitters of knowledge. Although I don't have the name of a teacher, I do have the ambition to be a teacher. I am well aware of my love and pursuit of knowledge, and I hope to pass on this love to the next generation. So, I started looking for job postings at educational institutions in the hope of becoming a teacher or educational consultant.
Second, the media industry
"The pen falls into a storm, and the poem becomes a weeping ghost and god." The media industry was the second option I considered. In this era of information explosion, the media is an important channel for people to obtain information. Although I am not a literati, I also have a love and pursuit of words. I hope to be able to convey my voice and opinions through the power of words. So, I started looking at job postings in major media outlets, hoping to become a reporter, editor or copywriter.
3. Agricultural industry
"On the afternoon of hoeing day, sweat drops into the soil." In this era of rapid development, people seem to be increasingly ignoring the importance of agriculture. However, I am well aware that agriculture is the foundation of the country and the foundation of human existence. I have a love and awe for nature, and I hope to contribute to the development of agriculture through my own efforts. So, I started looking for jobs related to agriculture and wanted to become an agricultural technician or farmer.
Fourth, the handicraft industry
"If jade is not cut, it will not be successful, and people will not know righteousness if they don't learn." The craft industry was the fourth option I considered. In this mechanized, electronic age, handicraft seems to have become a luxury. However, I am full of respect and yearning for this traditional skill. I hope to pass on the traditional art and culture by learning handicraft skills. So, I started looking for a craft-related training institution or studio, hoping to become a craftsman.
Fifth, the health industry
"The body is the capital of the revolution." The health industry was the fifth option I considered. In this fast-paced, high-stress era, people are paying more and more attention to health and wellness. I am well aware of the importance of health and hope to bring health and happiness to people through my own efforts. So, I started looking at job postings in the health industry, hoping to become a nutritionist, fitness trainer or health consultant.
Sixth, the environmental protection industry
"Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." The environmental industry was the last option I considered. In this era of increasingly serious environmental pollution, environmental protection has become an urgent issue. I have a love and awe for nature, and I hope to contribute to the cause of environmental protection through my own efforts. So, I started looking for jobs related to environmental protection, hoping to become an environmental engineer or environmental volunteer.
In the process of finding these industries, I encountered many difficulties and challenges. Sometimes I feel lost and helpless, but whenever I see people who are working hard for their dreams, I pick myself up again. I know that only by constantly working hard and trying can I find a path that truly suits me.
"The road is long, I will go up and down and seek." I may encounter more difficulties and challenges on the road to changing careers, but I believe that as long as I persevere and work hard, I will be able to find my own bright path. I also hope that those who have also experienced career changes can bravely face the challenges of the future and start a new chapter in their lives like me.
