With rural tourism as the starting point, we will actively explore the economic development model of "small courtyards", rationally develop and utilize idle ancient houses and farmhouse courtyards, transform and upgrade them into homestays, inns, and characteristic restaurants, and improve the income of the masses with small and micro industries.
At present, it has successfully built more than 90 characteristic homestays and characteristic farmhouse restaurants with the theme of landscape and pastoral, such as Xianghui Restaurant, Gushan Qiu Coffee Shop, Catalpa Homestay, Jielu Homestay, Xinfang Mushroom Picking, Majiaying No. 7 Coffee, etc., providing more than 850 jobs and an annual income of more than 3,060 yuan, Xinfang Village was selected into the national 2023 "Top 100 Examples of Hemei Villages" publicity and promotion list, and Tuanshan Village was selected into the list of "The Most Beautiful Nostalgia Tourist Destinations" and the list of "Brand Tourism Villages" in Yunnan Province in 2023, "Small Courtyard" The tourism economy is booming. In 2023, the town will receive a total of 1,177,400 tourists, achieving a tourism income of 57,953,300 yuan.
Develop a "small orchard" economy to "help" farmers
Fully tap the potential of local agricultural advantages and characteristic products, guide the masses to develop contiguous lotus ponds, vegetable beds and orchards around the farmland on both sides of the Lujiang River, and focus on cultivating aquatic vegetables such as lotus roots, mushrooms, grass sprouts and blueberries, strawberries, pomegranates, citrus and other characteristic fruits as the main rotation ornamental and experience landscape agricultural areas, and develop rural tourism projects such as agricultural tourism, agricultural experience, and fruit picking. At present, the town has developed more than 10,000 acres of aquatic vegetable bases, more than 8,400 acres of special fruit picking parks, and more than 30 agricultural picking experience points.

Develop the "small straw weaving" economy and "belt" agriculture

Some straw farmers also use WeChat and other platforms to undertake online orders and sell straw products to Beijing, Shanghai and other places, which has broadened the sales channels for straw products.
At present, driven by Zhang Manhua, president of the weaving association and intangible cultural heritage inheritor of the straw weaving project, and Luo Junqiong, the leader of the network sales of straw products, the weaving association has absorbed more than 70 members, driven by more than 400 people around the development of related industries, and increased the income of each household by more than 5,000 yuan per year.
