According to reports, it was very difficult to store and drain water in Huoguang Village's Shanpingtang before the renovation, and due to the lack of water, the yield of hundreds of acres of farmland in its irrigation area was low, the efficiency was poor, and even some farmland was abandoned. After the renovation of Shanpingtang, the village introduced the owner to contract the land, and the masses and the village collective have benefited.

The renovation of Shanpingtang has provided a stable water source to many towns and villages that are short of water, which has effectively boosted the development of the county's agricultural industry. Hejiaya Village, Dumen Street, relied on the renovated Shanpingtang to develop lotus root, rice and other industries, so as to increase the income of the masses and make Shanpingtang truly become the "living water" for the people to get rich.

It is understood that there are 244 key mountain ponds in our county, with a total designed water storage capacity of 17.254 million cubic meters and an irrigation area of 175,800 mu. Due to the lack of backbone water sources in our county, the key mountain pingtang is one of the main water sources to solve the agricultural irrigation water in our county, and it also provides water conservancy facilities for our county to build a higher standard Tianfu granary "hill area model".
