Key enterprises in the unmanned distribution industry

1. Meituan

In that year, Meituan set up an internal project team and began to develop an unmanned delivery system in specific scenarios. In 2017, Meituan's first self-developed unmanned delivery vehicle left the factory, passed the test in 2019, and from 2021, Meituan began to open unmanned delivery services in Shunyi District, Beijing. As of September 26, 2023, Meituan's unmanned delivery has accumulated more than one million orders in Shunyi, serving 300,000 residents in more than 100 communities.

In 2023, Meituan's annual revenue will be 276.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.82%, and its net profit will be 13.856 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 307.23%.

2. JD Logistics

As one of the earliest enterprises to emerge in the field of intelligent logistics vehicles, JD Logistics is also the first company in China to apply automatic intelligent driving to the actual scene of logistics and distribution. In 2016, Jingdong officially released the first unmanned delivery vehicle in China, entered the university campus operation for the first time in 2017, and gradually ran on the open roads in many cities in China in 2018, and in September 2020, Ali released the logistics robot Xiaoman Donkey. As of 2022, Xiaoman Donkey has more than 10 million delivery logistics orders. In April 2023, ZTO Express signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Neolithic unmanned vehicles to jointly promote unmanned distribution to large-scale commercial landing. In September 2023, SF's unmanned vehicles were unveiled in Beijing to realize the new business format of "full-process robot + intelligent delivery", and entered a new field of intelligent express delivery.

3. SF Holdings

After years of R&D and trial operation, Fengyi Technology, a subsidiary of SF Express, announced the official launch of two drone logistics products in early April: intra-city instant delivery and cross-city express delivery. Fengyi Technology's drones currently fly nearly 1,000 times a day and transport more than 12,000 express shipments.

In addition, SF Express actively deploys unmanned warehousing and distribution services. Recently, in first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, the "SF Unmanned Warehousing and Distribution Service" has been launched one after another, and the complete set of infrastructure of the "Zhiwei Warehousing and Distribution Integrated Network" has been built at SF outlets within 1-3 kilometers of consumers' near the site, helping businesses in various cities to achieve "hourly delivery" fulfillment and delivery in the whole city.

The Xiaoman Donkey unmanned vehicle integrates the most cutting-edge artificial intelligence and autonomous driving technology of the Damo Academy, has human-like cognitive intelligence, and the emergency response speed of the brain reaches 7 times that of humans. At the same time, Ali announced the registration and establishment of Xiaomandonkey Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. to promote the research and development and mass production of unmanned vehicles. At present, "Little Man Donkey" has entered more than 200 universities and communities across the country, and the fleet size has exceeded 500. In fiscal year 2023, Alibaba's revenue will be 868.687 billion yuan (about 126.491 billion US dollars), an increase of 2% compared with 853.062 billion yuan in fiscal 2022; The net profit was 65.573 billion yuan (about 9.548 billion US dollars), an increase of 39% compared with 47.079 billion yuan in the 2022 fiscal year.
