Walking into the potato planting base of Sanhe Village, Baisha Town, the potato harvester is carrying out mechanized operations in the field, accompanied by the roar of the machine, a full appearance, bright color, well-proportioned potatoes continue to roll out of the ground, spread all over the field.
Villagers bend down to follow closely behind, quickly sorting, bagging, and fully loaded transport vehicles deliver fresh potatoes directly to the market.
"The yield per mu is about 5,000 catties, and we have to sell these potatoes to Henan, Anhui, Hebei and other places, without worrying about sales." Huang Wenhua, the person in charge of potato planting and sales in Sanhe Village, Baisha Town, Xiaochang County, said.
With the continuous improvement of the planting level, the base adopts mechanized planting, integrated management of water and fertilizer, mechanical harvesting and other methods. A potato harvester can drive through the 50-meter-long ridge in three minutes, which is fast and efficient, and also has the advantages of high net yield and low skin breaking rate, which greatly improves the efficiency of potato harvesting and effectively saves costs.
"If you harvest by hand, you can only harvest about 7,000 catties in a morning, but with the machine, our efficiency is directly increased by five times, and we can harvest 40,000 catties to 50,000 catties in one morning." Agricultural mechanic Huang Yibo said.

"I have more than five acres of land at home, and I have contracted it to the boss, who gives us more than 2,000 yuan a year. We still work here and have 120 yuan a day.
