On May 15, 2024, New Ocean Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SUMEC Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Power (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, signed 19 Crown 63 PLUS bulk carrier main engine contracts in Shanghai. He Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SUMEC Shipbuilding, Xu Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, Zhu Changcheng, Head of Finance, Li Cheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CSSC Power Group, and Shao Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, attended the signing ceremony. The main engine applicable vessel signed this time is the flagship product of SUMEC Shipping, the 3.0 version of the Crown 63 PLUS bulk carrier. The ship is 199.90 meters long, 32.26 meters wide, 18.80 meters deep, and has a design speed of 13.5 knots.
