In the past few days, the local cadres and masses are busy harvesting the freshly marketed artichokes, everyone is divided and cooperated, busy but not chaotic, with the hoe waving, a full shape, well-proportioned, bright color of the purple artichoke broke out of the ground. Sorting, bunching, packing, sealing...... Everyone was very busy, and the fields were busy.
The "Science and Technology Courtyard" in Diantou Village, Erjie Town, mainly focuses on planting and cultivating purple artichoke "Shida No. 6". Purple artichoke is also affectionately known as "Purple Qi Donglai" in Diantou Village, non-genetically modified potatoes, which is a new variety of medium and early maturing and characteristic artichoke selected and bred by Yunnan Normal University. The average yield is about 1900 kg/mu, and the high yield can reach more than 4000 kg/mu.
"Shida No. 6" purple artichoke tuber oval shape, purple black skin and purple flesh, good appearance, the meat color is blue-purple after cooking, good quality, suitable for slicing and adding working fries. This variety is rich in anthocyanins, with an anthocyanin content of 42-103 mg/100 g and a vitamin C content of 49.5 mg/100 g, which is higher in nutritional value than conventional varieties and rich in antioxidants. In addition to inhibiting carcinogens, anthocyanins can also enhance human immunity, delay aging, enhance physical fitness, and improve vision.
In the next step, the "Science and Technology Courtyard" of Diantou Village will steadily expand the proportion of seed potato sales, further improve and strengthen the seed potato industry, improve the scientific and technological level of the artichoke industry, and give full play to the characteristic advantages of the region, protect them well, publicize them well, and package them well, so as to form the product competitiveness of "no one has me, no one has me, no one has me, and I am fine".
