The origins of the track give the Ford Mustang a strong track gene, and it is also the performance belief that the Mustang is constantly chasing. Originally introduced in 2013 on the Ford Mustang models, the Track Apps™ app allows drivers to access the app's interface via a 4.2-inch LCD display on the instrument cluster and experience the Mustang 0-60 mph and 0-100 mph, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile acceleration timers with an acceleration timer, making the race on the track even more fun.
™ In the cockpit of the all-new Ford Mustang®, drivers can access the MyMustang personalization interface through the Pony button printed with the Mustang logo on the center console, and select the Track Apps™. Presented on the 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch central touchscreen is the Track Apps™ interface, developed using the Unreal Engine 3D platform commonly used in modern esports games, each of which intuitively displays the current settings in the form of renderings. After turning on the Line Lock warm-up front wheel lock function, which is known as the soul function of the Mustang, the driver only needs to hold the accelerator, and the braking system will automatically lock the front wheel, and the rear tire will rub against the ground under the strong power drive, easily realizing the "warm-up" of burning tires on the spot, and showing the strength of the Ford Mustang that cannot be ignored with strong tire smoke.
At the same time, the all-new Ford Mustang Dark Horse® 5.0L V8 performance sports car, as well as the all-new Ford Mustang® Coupé Performance and Convertible Sport variants, are equipped with the industry's first drifting electronic parking brake. The driver only needs to activate the "drift brake" in the Track Apps™ app, and the lever of the device can achieve the braking effect of a traditional robotic handbrake with auxiliary brake calipers located on the rear wheels, and adjust the braking force of the rear wheels according to how much the driver pulls the handle. If the system determines that the rear wheels need more braking power, the braking device can even further increase the braking power through the 4-piston Brembo™ brake calipers on the rear wheels, which is more than three times that of the traditional mechanical braking system, so that the driver can more easily and controllably achieve a continuous and stable drift state.
The all-new Ford Mustang® also provides owners with a variety of ways to calculate and test vehicle performance and track results, among the most traditional acceleration timer, braking performance, and track timer functions in Track Apps™. The acceleration timer is capable of testing the vehicle's acceleration results from 0-50 km/h, 0-100 km/h, 0-200 km/h, and 0-100 m and 0-200 m. Braking performance is available in 100-0 km/h and 200-0 km/h braking tests. To further help owners hone their driving skills and continuously improve their performance on the track, the track timer feature of the Track Apps™ app calculates and displays lap times across multiple tracks in a row, allowing owners to see their progress on the track more intuitively.
