In the hinterland of Rongcheng, there is such a communication company. On May 12, 2008, Wenchuan was hit by a strong earthquake of magnitude 8.0 on the Richter scale, and the first and ninth companies of a certain unit of the former Chengdu Military Region, the predecessor of the company, went to the disaster area to participate in the earthquake relief as a whole.
In July 2013, when a flood broke out in the Longqiao area of Chengdu, officers and soldiers did not care about their personal safety and opened up a "life channel" for information communication during the torrential rain and floods, which bought precious time for the safe evacuation of the people in the disaster area.
In order to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the company, a new combat effectiveness will be formed as soon as possible. In the face of the newly issued communications equipment, the officers and men of the whole company threw themselves into the combat research of the new equipment, fought continuously for 50 days and nights, and finally successfully completed a certain communications support task.
In August 2019, they went abroad to participate in the exercise, and in the face of practical difficulties such as heavy tasks, long time span, and difficult communication and liaison in the joint exercise, the officers and men bravely shouldered the heavy burden, rose to the challenge, and completed various tasks such as railway mobility, camping construction, communication support, and vigilance duty with high standards. After going through the tests of major tasks one after another, the company has won dozens of honors, such as advanced grassroots units, first-class units in military training, second-class collective merits, and advanced units in grassroots construction, and is known as the "Thunder Company."
The advanced company stems from iron-like discipline, and they regard ideals and beliefs, work performance, quality and ability, and observance of rules and discipline as the primary construction criteria. Take the front-line preparation for war, the hard-working and critical posts and the urgent, difficult, dangerous and heavy tasks as the tempering platform, highlight the spiritual core of "brave loyalty, courage to shoulder heavy burdens, dedication, pragmatic innovation", and constantly promote the construction of the company for the better.
