Recently, Kia officially released the new Kia EV6 in the Korean market, with a guide price of 55.4 million to 70.15 million won, equivalent to about 293,100-371,100 yuan. As a mid-cycle facelift, the new model will continue to be imported in the form of imports as it is planned to adjust the front face and interior details, and replace it with a battery pack with a larger capacity, which will greatly contribute to the improvement of product strength.
In terms of appearance, the front part of the new car has a slender upper grille, and the headlight clusters connected to the left and right sides have a new shape, and the triangular blackened headlights are wrapped by curved light strips, which are highly recognizable when lit. The nose is still sharp and prominent, with a continuous lower grille underneath, and the GT-Line version also adds fins to the front bumper to distinguish it from the regular version, which also contributes to the sporty look.
The side of the body largely retains the lines of the current EV6's large hatchback, with a slightly lowered roof, a distinctive D-pillar corner, and a special floating roof with blacked-out A, B, and C pillars. The two-tone bodywork continues to be an important way to elevate the car's sense of style, and the hidden door handles, fancy wheel shapes, and streaming mirrors reinforce this attribute.
At the rear, the rear bumper has only been slightly tweaked to become flatter and shift the visual center of gravity downward. As for the large spoiler on the upper edge of the rear windshield, the wrap-around rear taillights, and the rear surround diffuser are all the same as the current model, showing the sporty positioning at all times.
The interior part continues to be equipped with an integrated floating dual screen, which is slightly deflected to the main driver with the center console surface, and below is a semi-through-air conditioning outlet and some physical buttons, the two-tone double-spoke steering wheel has a sporty shape, the front end of the armrest box is equipped with a one-button start button and a knob-type shift mechanism, and the open cup holder and wireless charging panel have not been left behind. In general, it is the same as the current EV6, but the brand logo on the edge of the center console and the steering wheel has been adjusted.
In terms of power, the single-motor rear-wheel drive version has a maximum power of 168 kW and a peak torque of 350 Nm; The dual-motor four-wheel drive version has a combined power of 239 kW and a peak torque of 605 Nm. The battery capacity has been upgraded to 84 kWh, replacing the current 77.4 kWh battery pack, and the rear-wheel drive version has a range of 494 km under EPA mode, and supports up to 350 kW DC charging power.
Kia EV6's competitors in the domestic market include Extreme Krypton X, Volkswagen ID.4, smart Elf #3 and other boutique cars, compared to Kia EV6's advantage lies in the young personality design, enough excellent power performance, we will wait and see how it will perform in the future.
