Daewoo Information announced today that the company's board of directors has resolved to dispose of the intellectual property rights of "The Legend of Sword and Fairy" (excluding Chinese mainland) and the intellectual property rights of "Xuanyuan Sword" (worldwide) held by Daewoo Information. Authorize the chairman of the board of directors to plan and negotiate, and if there is a subsequent consultation with a suitable transaction partner and conditions, it will be handled in accordance with Daewoo Information Company's "Procedures for Obtaining or Disposing of Assets".
Previously, CMGE Group bought a 51% stake in Beijing Softstar, a subsidiary of Daewoo Information, for RMB213 million in 2018, and then acquired the remaining shares of Softstar for HK$640 million in 2021, as well as all interests in Chinese mainland of the "Legend of Sword and Fairy" IP.
