In order to further enhance the anti-drug awareness of mail and logistics practitioners and escort the high-quality development of the mail and delivery industry in the jurisdiction, on May 14, 2024, the Nancun Town Drug Control Office and Guangzhou Sunshine Angel Social Service Center jointly carried out anti-drug publicity activities in the mail and logistics outlets in the jurisdiction.
Postal workers are actively speaking for anti-drug use
During the activity, anti-drug social workers distributed anti-drug publicity materials to the delivery practitioners, introduced the harm of drugs to themselves and the society, and focused on explaining the harm of "etomidate" abuse, anti-drug related knowledge such as prevention of new drug skills and abnormal treatment methods, and reminded practitioners to report to the public security organs and relevant departments in a timely manner when they find suspicious items, so as to strictly prevent criminals from using logistics and delivery channels to engage in drug-related illegal and criminal activities. At the same time, the staff of the Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) asked practitioners to strengthen the inspection of mail and express mail, and fully implement the rigid restraint and prohibition management system of "real-name receipt and mailing, receipt and delivery inspection, and security inspection".

A total of 26 mail and logistics outlets were visited during the event, and more than 150 anti-drug publicity materials were distributed. It has effectively enhanced the sense of responsibility and mission of logistics and delivery practitioners to actively participate in anti-drug work, and laid a solid foundation for ensuring the safe, standardized and orderly development of the mail and delivery industry in the jurisdiction.
