Panto T1 Plus
The metal part of the tripod is made of aluminum alloy, which is made of full CNC precision machining and anodizing process, which can not only present an excellent metal texture, but also feel extremely delicate, and also ensure its wear resistance and corrosion resistance in various complex environments. The tripod is equipped with a 1/4 screw hole, and you can add your own expansion accessories.
The leg is made of carbon fiber, and the measured weight is 1.67KG with a long bottom bracket and no gimbal, which is decent for similar products.
The Panto T1 Plus has 4 legs, and the leg knob can be quickly unlocked or locked with just 1/4 turn, making it a silky smooth operation. THE MEASURED HEIGHT OF THE TRIPOD IS 141CM WHEN IT IS FULLY EXTENDED, AND THE HEIGHT OF THE LONG CENTRAL AXIS IS 169CM WHEN IT IS FULLY EXTENDED (WHEN THE GIMBAL IS NOT INSTALLED).
On the basis of the design of stability, the tripod is divided into three opening and closing angles, through the semi-automatic foot buckle can quickly switch the angle, after the kick buckle is pulled out, adjust the pin to the maximum angle (that is, the low angle when shooting) after the kick buckle will automatically rebound, and then adjust the pin to a small angle to switch the gear to the medium angle or high angle.
I actually measured it, using a short center axis, the tripod can only be about 15 miles from the ground at a minimum, and for some low-angle shooting, this tripod is competent.
The foot pad is made of rubber, and the hexagonal plum blossom foot pegs are exposed after the foot pad is removed, which can adapt to various complex terrains. In actual use, we found that the rubber feet of the tripod are not particularly strong, and there is a risk of rubbing off when taking out or hanging the backpack.
The leg tube adopts a knob-type adjustment method, and it can be found that the knob of the leg is also equipped with an anti-sand and waterproof sealing ring, and the Pantu T1 Plus is indeed considered in the details of the use of complex environments.
In addition to the long bottom bracket, the Panto T1 Plus can also be equipped with a short bottom bracket, bowl base, and mini tripod bottom bracket (sold extra). The bottom bracket is also very easy to replace, just unlock the accessory lock button and press the accessory safety button to disassemble, and the installation can be directly placed and tighten the knob. You can choose the right bottom bracket accessories according to your own needs.
MH-6S gimbal
By default, the Pantu T1 Plus is equipped with the TH-1M dual panoramic gimbal, while we are equipped with the MH-6S fluid gimbal, which is more suitable for video creation. The overall weight of the gimbal is 0.7KG, and the texture is relatively excellent.
The handle supports angle and length adjustment, and can be removed and can be mounted on the left or right side.
Use two knobs to lock or unlock the tilt and pan axes for tilt, pan and slide smoothly.
The quick-release plate adopts the ordinary Manfrotto protocol, and has a movement range of about 5CM, which ensures the leveling of a variety of equipment, and is also designed with limited teeth and safety locks, which can effectively prevent misoperation and protect the equipment.
There is also a 1/4 screw on the side of the gimbal, which can be used with an external monitor and fill light when shooting videos, which can increase playability and the use experience of various scenes.
User experience
The overall weight of the tripod combined with the gimbal is about 2.37KG, which is indeed not light for ordinary people, but in similar products, especially the analogy of this professional-grade tripod + video gimbal, the weight is completely acceptable. In terms of volume, because it is a 32mm thick carbon fiber tube, the overall volume is slightly larger, and it will be a little inconvenient to use a backpack to carry, but it will be very convenient to use the backpack that comes with Futubao.
A variety of replaceable bottom brackets are useful in practical use, and long bottom brackets can be used if higher heights are required. In places of complex inequality, the camera can be leveled using the bowl bottom bracket, or in scenes where a low camera position is required, a short center bracket or bowl bottom bracket can be used to lower the tripod to the minimum. The tripod center axis can be used as a small tripod on its own, which may be useful in places where space is limited.
We used this tripod with the Panasonic S1 and 70-200mm F2.8, and the weight came to 2.85KG, which is just the right height for a 173cm tall pup with the leg wide open and the bottom bracket not raised, which is suitable for both the screen and the viewfinder.
When the bottom bracket is fully raised, the bottom bracket is prone to slight shaking when operating the camera, so care should be taken when using it. However, fortunately, the height of the tripod itself is relatively high, and many times it is not necessary to raise the center bracket.
Since this tripod is known as all-terrain use, we also try to remove the foot pad and prop the tripod in the sand pit, so that the use will not be affected at all, even if we use some external force to shake, we can feel that it is very stable, I believe it can also maintain stability in the windy beach or desert environment.
