Awarded licenses to community project schools

Education colleagues from member schools in Hong Kong, Macao, Shaanxi, Guangxi, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Foshan, Shantou and Shenzhen gathered in Pengcheng. Wen Jiaxin, director of the Future Education Research Center of Shenzhen Institute of Educational Sciences, mentioned that in the context of building a strong country in education, it is necessary to take interdisciplinary learning as an important starting point to explore the road of basic education innovation, and build a strong foundation for strengthening the high-quality basic education education system. Wu Liping, principal of Luchengwai Chinese Primary School, said that this project is based on the concept of giving full play to the respective advantages of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and iteratively created a curriculum collaborative education model of "four spans and four commons" of STEAM education in the Greater Bay Area. With the joint efforts of the project leader and 40 project member schools, it successfully passed the acceptance of the experts of the Central Audio-visual Education Center. Teachers and students of community schools have won many awards in various competitions at the national, provincial and municipal levels, and have successfully established a number of projects and published a number of core papers. At present, the research and practice of the curriculum collaborative education model of STEAM education in the Greater Bay Area has won the first prize of the 5th Shenzhen Teaching Achievement Award (Basic Education).

At the ceremony, Professor Zhao Jianhua of the Future Education Research Center of Southern University of Science and Technology gave a special lecture entitled "Future Education in the Era of AI Artificial Intelligence". Professor Xu Fuyin, former dean of the School of Educational Information Technology of South China Normal University, said that the organic integration of interdisciplinary must reflect STEAM, and at the same time, the project should apply information technology and use the network to implement the "four crosses and four commons".

Guided by the "13th Five-Year Plan for Education Informatization", the "Compulsory Education Curriculum Plan" and the "Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", the Seminar on the Curriculum Collaborative Education Model of STEAM Education in the Greater Bay Area and the Community of Practice Project have actively organized teachers and students to carry out online and offline collaborative teaching activities, inter-school exchanges and sharing, expert lectures, joint meetings of principals and other activities, and achieved good results. Interdisciplinary learning has become the focus of kindergarten curriculum construction

As the lead school of the primary school of the STEAM Education Community of Practice Project in the Greater Bay Area, Ouyang Qi, principal of Tianfu Road Primary School in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and teacher Liu Longhua shared the project "I Build a Bridge for the Bay Area". Ouyang Qi said in the sharing that in order to actively respond to the opinions of deepening the reform of education and teaching advocated by the state, comprehensively improving the quality of compulsory education and optimizing the education model, the school actively carries out interdisciplinary courses. The school's six theme courses start from the three levels of people and self, people and nature, and people and culture, guiding children to pay attention to themselves, pay attention to nature, and explore the world. After four years of implementation, the project has seen significant and significant growth for the students.

Zhang Qingquan, director of Dongguan Songshan Lake Experimental Middle School, said that the school relies on comprehensive practical courses, school-based elective courses and club competitions. In the future, more regions and schools will be recruited into the teaching and research community to strengthen the exchange and demonstration of AI content and achievements.

With the advancement of education reform, interdisciplinary learning has increasingly become the focus of kindergarten curriculum construction. Qiu Hailing, principal of Zhuhai Taoyuan Kindergarten, shared the school's special curriculum. In 2019, Zhuhai Taoyuan Kindergarten integrated the excellent traditional Chinese culture education on the basis of the original curriculum, and in 2020, it integrated the traditional Chinese medicine culture education, and became the only kindergarten in Zhuhai City awarded by the Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau for "Zhuhai Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture into Campus". Qiu Hailing said that in the future, he will continue to condense practical experience, cultivate "Chinese babies" with Chinese roots, Chinese hearts and Chinese feelings, and establish cultural self-confidence and national pride.

According to Zheng Kit-chiu, principal of Macau Labor School Middle School, the school is based on basic goals, expands students' knowledge, enhances students' thinking ability, and cultivates students' sense of innovation and competition. Cultivate students to be "diligent and disciplined, prudent and thoughtful, sincere and simple, mutual assistance and love, courage to forge ahead, patriotism and love Macao". At the same time, the school has developed a set of career-oriented STEAM books suitable for the school, a total of 12 books.

Mr. Yuen Kwok-ming, Principal of Caritas Tuen Mun Madden Foundation Secondary School, pointed out that the purpose of STEAM teaching is to prepare students for a changing future, equip them with the skills and attitudes they need to grow up to be self-reliant, and shift the focus of teaching from memorizing knowledge to cultivating students' flexibility and creativity, communication and problem-solving skills.

Qiu Shanhong, principal of Tongxinling Campus of Liyuan Education Group in Futian District, Shenzhen, said that Liyuan Education Group is guided by the spirit of "seeking truth and pragmatism, pursuing excellence", and taking the realization of students' all-round development and personality development as the educational goal.
