In order to further implement the party's education policy, adhere to the educational purpose of all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, art and labor, guide students to establish a correct outlook on labor, and improve their hands-on, brain-using ability and life practice ability, on May 8, Nanjing Nanchang Road Primary School held the 2024 "Labor Creates a Better Future" Labor Week Competition. School leaders, some teachers and students participated in the event.
The competition is carried out in different years, and the school sets up different competition items in different grade groups according to the age characteristics of students in each grade, focusing on students' daily life skills and family labor skills. Among them, the competition content of the 1-3 grade group is: wearing clothes, tying shoes, folding clothes; The competition content of the 4-6 group is: peeling edamame, sewing buttons, and sharing the design of "Family One Day Recipe + Purchasing Planner".

The first-year contestants took the lead in the dressing competition, and they moved quickly, steadily and orderly, and in the blink of an eye, the clothes were neatly dressed.
With the teacher's order, I saw the slender shoelaces flexibly shuttling and flying up and down in the hands of the second-grade contestants, and soon turned into beautiful bows.
Unfolding, flattening, folding...... The third-year contestants are concentrating on the clothes in their hands. They are young, but they are very talented. After a while, the clothes became neat and tidy under everyone's skillful hands.
The fourth-graders threw their best foot into peeling edamame. After a lot of hard work, a plate of edamame with clear grains is presented in front of everyone's eyes.
The fifth-graders held buttons in one hand and needles and threads in the other, patiently and carefully sewing. Every stitch and thread are sewn in a good way, and everyone feels the difficulty of labor with both hands and the beauty of labor with their hearts.
At the end of the year, the Year 6 contestants shared their own one-day recipes and purchase orders. Through the contestants' exquisite hand-painting or PPT, everyone really felt the fun and value of labor.
The holding of this activity allows students to feel the charm of labor in personal participation, and enhances students' respect and love for labor. It cultivates students' labor skills and habits, and enhances home-school cooperation.
