This is the 12th edition of the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, which saw the number of universities in the list increase from 669 to 739 compared to last year, an increase of 70 from 31 countries in Asia, with a further 388 institutions not included in the Reporter.
Ranking highlights:

▶ There has been a big change in the rankings of Hong Kong universities compared to the previous year. Hong Kong Baptist University has improved by 42 places and has become a dark horse among Hong Kong universities in this ranking!
▶ Tsinghua University and Peking University from Chinese mainland and the National University of Singapore from Singapore once again ranked among the top three in Asia.
▶ Among the institutions in Macau, the University of Macau has risen one place compared to last year, ranking 36th, and Macau University of Science and Technology is ranked 58th. St. Joseph's University also made the list this year.
▶ Tsinghua University ranked first in Asia and ranked first for the sixth consecutive year.
▶ A total of 86 universities from Chinese mainland are on the list, with five universities from Chinese mainland coming from the top 10.

A total of six universities from Hong Kong made the list, four regressed and two moved up!
In the overall rankings, the University of Hong Kong ranked 6th and Chinese Hong Kong universities ranked 10th, down from the previous year. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology also fell out of the top 10 in Asia this year.
It is worth mentioning that both the City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University have improved, especially the Hong Kong Baptist University, which has made significant progress, rising rapidly from 105 last year to 63rd in Asia this year! Ranked among the top 100!
At present, the top five in Hong Kong are all in the top 20 in Asia! All the Hong Kong schools on the list are also in the top 100 in Asia! However, Hong Kong schools no longer have the top five universities in Asia this year, so we have to continue to work harder!

Although only two universities in Singapore make the list, both are among the top institutions in Asia.
The National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University of Singapore ranked third and fourth.
The National University of Singapore (NUS) has been ranked third in the Asian University Rankings for five consecutive years. It is enough to reflect the educational ability and level of Singapore's institutions.

The University of Macau (UM) rose one spot to 36th in this year's ranking, while Macau University of Science and Technology (Macau University of Science and Technology) ranked 58th. St. Joseph's University also managed to make it to this ranking.

Chinese mainland has 86 institutions in the list, of which 33 are in the top 100, an increase of two from last year, and five institutions are in the top 10, an increase of one from last year.
Tsinghua University and Peking University ranked first and second, and Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University, and Zhejiang University ranked seventh, eighth and ninth respectively. Tsinghua University has topped the list for five consecutive years, and Peking University has been ranked second for five consecutive years.
