This year's newly designed "Chenshan Impression" theme flower bed was unveiled. The flower bed is shaped like a leaf, more like a bird, and the pattern that changes every year is like putting on a new "coat" for this "little bird".
"Chenshan Impression" theme flower bed has always been one of the most popular classic attractions in Chenshan Botanical Garden, the flower bed is located in the northwest corner of the greenhouse on the large lawn, the entire flower bed area of nearly 900 square meters, is a large walk-in flower bed. Every year, the designers of the Botanical Gardens' Horticultural Landscape Department redesign the flower beds.
In order to add novelty and enhance the close-up viewing effect of the flower bed, at the turn of spring and summer this year, the designer paid tribute to the classics, and used the interweaving of straight lines and curves and "dialogue" to add new vitality to the flower bed, and also brought a new sensory experience to visitors.
When conceiving this year's flower bed pattern, Chenshan horticultural designers referred to the works of Dutch Mannerist artists such as Mondrian, and used straight lines and rectangular geometric shapes to form the entire flower bed texture, and filled it with strong contrasting red, yellow, purple, white, pink and other colors to form a highly visually impactful pattern. In the flower bed, the authenticity and purity of the hard lines are separated, and the flow and tactfulness of the outer contour curves of the flower bed collide with the beauty of great vitality.
In order to perfectly present the pattern this time, the designer specially made two sets of "secret" weapons - 10 meters X 10 meters and 7.5 meters X 7.5 meters, which were used in the lofting stage of flower beds. Coupled with the fine planting and maintenance of flower seedlings in the later period, the classic works of the painter Mondrian jumped from the paper to the "picture scroll" of the land of Chenshan.
In the selection of flowers, in order to highlight the beauty and brightness of spring and summer, and to cope with the "dilemma" of more rain in spring and summer this year, 5 colors of red, pink, orange, bright yellow, blue and purple flowers were selected, involving 5 flower varieties, including: rainforest series petunia, Johnnie peacock grass, neutron star geranium and other new excellent flower varieties.
According to reports, especially the rainforest series petunias, as a rain-resistant breed, have withstood the test in the application of Chenshan Botanical Garden in the past 5 months last year, and successfully passed the most humid and hot plum rainy season. Johnnie Peacock is the most striking of the yellow peacock species, which contrasts strongly with the blue-purple petunia and brings a breakthrough aesthetic pleasure.
Another highlight of this season's Chenshan impression flower bed is that the height difference of different varieties of flowers is used to make the plane flower bed three-dimensional, forming a three-dimensional pattern with ornamental facades, giving visitors a "double" experience of flower beds and flower land.
