You don't need a Japanese language score, so you can get into college without a written test?! The main theme is a "painless" further education~

author:Zhiyuan Juku, Japan

In recent years, the number of Chinese studying in Japan has continued to show an increasing trend. This also means that the entrance examination for the Japanese language program is becoming more and more competitive. There are many students who are not very good at Japanese, and they are beginning to be anxious about how to get a qualified letter in this invisible battlefield?

Today, Xiaoyuan will share with you a micro-roll study abroad road that can study in Japan without Japanese language scores.

Wang studied at a public university in the United States as an undergraduate, but he majored in Japanese culture as an undergraduate. The student himself also likes all kinds of two-dimensional content in Japan. Therefore, I plan to continue my studies in Japan after graduating from my undergraduate degree.

Although he had studied Japanese at the undergraduate level, due to the impact of the new crown for three years, the student did not have a certificate of Japanese language test results before applying. Combined with the student's own basic conditions, Xiaoyuan decided to help the student prepare for both hands after discussing with the application teachers:

■ Start preparing for the Japanese language test immediately, and you must obtain an N1 certificate within one year.

■In the process of preparing for the Japanese language test, prepare the application documents for the English program at the same time; Apply to universities in Japan that offer English-taught universities.

The so-called English-taught program is actually an SGU program promoted by the Japanese government to promote the globalization of Japanese universities.

The Japanese universities participating in this SGU program are all very well-qualified. For example, there are old imperial universities such as the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and Tohoku University, as well as well-known private universities such as Waseda University and Sophia University.

The program is currently being carried out at 37 universities in Japan. This time, the Japanese university that we helped Wang apply to in English was Waseda University, which was selected according to Wang's own requirements among the 37 schools.

After intensive preparation, Mr. Wang successfully obtained the certificate of acceptance from the GSSS Graduate School of Waseda University. Wang himself was very excited to avoid a series of complicated procedures for applying for a Japanese major, and TA said that it was simply "painless" to qualify.

So, today let's take a look at what kind of "painless" it is.

Waseda University's Graduate School of GSSS is actually the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Waseda University. It has a high reputation in the international community. In the last four years, the number of applicants has exceeded 100. One of the most recognized among Chinese students.

However, the pass rate is less than 20% every year. The fierce competition is evident. The number of applicants for the English program is relatively small, and the pass rate is also 30%.

What is GSSS

GSSS has two research directions to choose from, one is the Major in Global Society, which focuses on topics in sociology, political science, and global governance, and is currently supervised by a total of 10 professors.

The other is Major in Policy Sciences, which focuses on topics such as economic development and public policy, and is currently supervised by seven professors.

The English program of GSSS has a very high gold content, which is on par with the Japanese program. The training plan of the GSSS program in the early English year is the same as that of the Japanese program.

The difference is simply in the language used. Therefore, after graduation, there is no difference between working and continuing to study in the Japanese language program.

GSSS Tuition & Scholarships

As a private university, the tuition fee is naturally more expensive than that of public universities, but there are special scholarships for foreigners to study abroad, and the amount of money is quite considerable, and the number of students admitted is quite large. It can help students pay part of the tuition fees.

Q&A session with Mr. Wang

How is the research proposal prepared?

It's much more important to think about how to write a research plan than to write it right away. It is important to think about the topic from the beginning to the establishment of the research goal, the significance of the research and the research methodology.

You need to know enough about the topic and be interested, be clear about whether your future research plan should be qualitative or quantitative, and then look for relevant high-quality literature as a reference.

The most important points in the statement of aspiration are personal learning experience, the relevance of one's major to the future major, a brief description of the research topic, and future academic or career plans.

What are your interview tips?

There were two professors present during the interview, and the time was tight and the speed of speech was very fast, with almost no pauses and no opportunity to think. At the beginning, the professor asked about the research plan, and the usual questions such as self-introduction were not mentioned from beginning to end.

The questions about the research proposal are very detailed, the professor you choose will ask very detailed questions about the topic of the research proposal, and the other professor will ask very relevant questions.

If you speak slowly, you may suffer, so it is necessary to practice your speaking skills before the interview.

Which services of Zhiyuan are more helpful to students?

The most helpful thing is the guidance of the interview teacher. The content of the interview teacher's instructions is very important, and although the professor does not ask personal information questions, it is still necessary to prepare.

Secondly, the teachers took the trouble to answer various questions related to studying abroad, which gave me a full understanding of the things related to the entrance examination and application for Japanese universities.
