Recently, when the customs officer of the Shenzhen Post Office supervised the transshipment of goods, he found that the machine inspection image of a package was suspicious, and he immediately opened the box for inspection. After investigation, it was found that the ticket package contained 60 bags of fruit gummies with a gross weight of 6884.4 grams. After testing by reagents, the batch of gummies was all tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) positive. At present, the case has been transferred to the anti-smuggling department of the customs for handling.
Customs reminder: Cannabis is included in the "Catalogue of Narcotic Drugs (2013 Edition)", which is a narcotic drug controlled by the mainland, and according to the "Regulations on the Administration of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances", the state implements control over the original medicinal plants of narcotic drugs, as well as narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. According to article 347 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, smuggling, selling, transporting, or manufacturing narcotics, regardless of the quantity, shall be investigated for criminal responsibility and punished.
