Recently, Dongxing Customs seized a case of smuggled mobile phones hidden by passengers. The passenger was wearing a wide brown jacket and entered the country from the "undeclared channel" of the customs in the passenger inspection hall of Beilun River Bridge at Dongxing Port. Upon inquiry and examination, it was found that 17 second-hand mobile phones were hidden on his chest.
Customs reminds that those who evade customs supervision by concealing, camouflaging, concealing, falsifying or otherwise transporting, carrying, or mailing goods or articles that are prohibited or restricted from entering or leaving the country or goods or articles that shall be taxed in accordance with the law are smuggling, and if the circumstances are serious and constitute a crime, they will be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law.
