ePlatform 3.0 Evo
In fact, it has not been a long time since the launch of e-platform 3.0, about three years, yes, it was also the e-platform 3.0 conference that I attended at that time. This time the e-platform 3.0 Evo has been upgraded and optimized in multiple dimensions, and I even wondered why they didn't just call it e-platform 4.0.
First of all, as an old car fan, the most concerned is the chassis and body, the e-platform 3.0 Evo adopts the main rear-wheel drive layout, which is the same as some models of the e-platform 3.0, such as the seal EV, Song L, etc. At the same time, there are double wishbone front overhangs, as well as rear calipers on the front axle, we have often said before that the rear calipers on the front axle are a better arrangement, which is related to the force on the steering tie rod. However, BYD also gave an explanation that the caliper is rear-mounted and the steering machine is front-mounted, which can avoid the interference between the steering column and the force transmission structure of the car body, which is helpful for the torsional rigidity and safety of the body.
Unlike before, BYD focuses on rear calipers this time, can we guess that all the next e-platform 3.0 EVO models, including models with relatively entry-level positioning, will adopt this better layout?
In terms of body structure, the previous CTB battery body integration technology has also ushered in an upgrade, in the front of the passenger compartment, the first introduction of TRB integrated dash plate and blade battery fusion design, and on the side, also for the first time the 1500Mpa level ultra-high strength closed section rolling beam and blade battery integrated design.
Then there is the upgrade of the electric drive part, which also includes three main contents, one is that the motor speed has reached 23000rpm, note that it is the kind of 23000rpm that is delivered when it is released, which makes the Hiace 07EV reach a top speed of 225km/h. The second is to self-develop a new multilayer laser welding SiC power module, which further improves the efficiency of electronic control. The electric drive system has also been upgraded to a 12-in-1 highly integrated electric drive system.
From the previous eight-in-one to the current twelve-in-one, the main increase is the intelligent booster module, intelligent upflow module, intelligent self-heating module, and energy management intelligent control system, which are also the key parts of the global intelligent fast charging technology. Yes, not only can the voltage be boosted, and the high-voltage model does not need to be bound by the low-voltage public charging pile, but also can upstream, decoupling the current of the charging pile from the current of the vehicle end, and the maximum current of 250A can be raised to 400A, so as to charge the power in advance and shorten the charging time.
Regarding charging, the e-platform 3.0 EVO also has an optimization, which shortens the terminal charging time from 30 minutes to 18 minutes without damage by intelligently adjusting the pulse charging current in 80%~100% of the terminal links. This is still quite meaningful for many users who are used to fully charging the battery, or for models with small battery capacity, users can also use 80%~100% of the power in this section more flexibly.
In addition, it is an upgrade in temperature control, thermal management, vehicle dynamic control, etc., in short, the e-platform 3.0 EVO can be said to have improved to a certain extent in all aspects.

The first e-platform 3.0 Evo Hiace 07EV has been seen at the Beijing Auto Show last month, in fact, at the BYD Technology Day earlier, I have also seen its real body, but the external information was still relatively limited at that time, this time it was officially listed, and the guide price was 189,800 yuan ~ 239,800 yuan.
At this press conference, BYD also said that it will build the Hiace IP into an SUV product series and the seal into a sedan series, so the Hiace 07EV is also the first model of the Hiace IP series. I think the exterior design of the Hiace 07EV is quite good-looking, and in the past, everyone always said that BYD's car just doesn't look so fashionable and young, especially compared with the players of the new forces. But now I think that the appearance of some models of BYD is completely handy, you put the Hiace 07EV next to the Xpeng G6, I believe that more people will vote for the Hiace 07EV. (Huh?) Like this Hiace 07EV, its most distinctive feature is the wavy hollow door panel, the shape is very exaggerated, creating a strong three-dimensional feeling, but I think the "small blackboard" in front of the co-pilot is a bit of a drama, I even wonder if this area is reserved for the co-pilot screen, but at present, the Hiace 07EV does not provide the option of the co-pilot.
Just mentioned that the body is not small, which is also fully reflected in the interior space of the cabin, the rear row is very open, and there is no need to describe it with a few fists and fingers. Moreover, the seat cushion and backrest of the Hiace 07EV have plenty of length and padding, so the comfort felt on the body is good. It's just that it adopts a more streamlined design after all, so the window area is not particularly large, and with the integrated seats in the front row, the view of the rear passengers is not so good.
Above, there is a large glass roof, and the roof glass of this show car is blue, which is actually an optional EC canopy. If you don't choose the EC canopy, the Hiace 07EV will also be equipped with electric sunshades as standard, and BYD, as a traditional car brand, is still very measured in this regard.
