On May 11, Lt. Gen. The details of the case are as follows: On May 7, Thai police received information that a South Korean tourist had disappeared and that his mother had been extorted for ransom. AFTER INVESTIGATION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE MISSING PERSON'S NAME IS ROH EUI JONG, 34 YEARS OLD, SOUTH KOREAN NATIONALITY, WHO ENTERED THAILAND ON APRIL 30. On May 7, Lu Enzong's mother received a mysterious phone call saying that her son had caused damage by throwing drugs into the water, and that she had to carry 3 million baht as a ransom or else the ticket would be torn up. Mr. Lu's mother was nervous, so she immediately went to the South Korean Embassy to report the incident and assisted the Khlong Tan Police Station in Bangkok in the investigation.
Upon receipt of the report, the police officers immediately reported the case to their superiors and set up an investigation team. The investigation found that Mr. Lu has a Thai wife, and his wife said that the last time she saw Mr. Lu was at a bar in the RCA area on May 2. Through investigation and surveillance, the police found that at around 2 a.m. on May 3, two South Korean men took Mr. Lu away in a car, and after investigation, they learned that the car was a rental car.
The group then swapped their newly rented car for a pickup truck and rented accommodation near the Map Prachan Reservoir in Pattaya before heading to Pattaya. Then, at around 9 p.m. on May 4, the pickup truck drove out of the residence wrapped in a black cloth. The police continued to investigate the surveillance footage and found that the suspect drove the car out of the house and bought black plastic fuel tanks and ropes, and parked near the Mapprachan reservoir for about 1 hour before returning to the rental house.
The latest news, today, the police sent a team of divers to the reservoir and found a black and cement-covered water tank, and found a body in the tank, which was Mr. Lu, who had been missing for many days.
