On May 17, 2024, the 2nd Sinoma International Cement Green and Intelligent Development Conference with the theme of "Green Intelligence and Win-win Cooperation" was held in Nanjing. More than 400 guests from 34 countries around the world conducted in-depth dialogues and exchanges in the fields of green and low-carbon, digital design, and intelligent management, shared cutting-edge scientific and technological application achievements, discussed international cooperation in the cement industry, and jointly built a green, intelligent and beautiful future.
Li Xinhua, deputy secretary of the Party committee and general manager of China National Building Materials Group, said in his speech that the concept of green and low-carbon development is a global consensus on building a sustainable industrial system, and digital intelligence is the only path for the transformation and development of the cement industry and a must answer to accelerate the development of new quality productivity. China National Building Materials Group will adhere to the corporate mission of "materials create a better world", serve the industry and customers with high-quality innovative achievements, and build a platform for regular meetings and exchanges for global cement colleagues with high-standard conferences. We hope to work with colleagues at home and abroad to build a new background for the green development of the cement industry, new advantages in intelligent manufacturing, and a new ecology of openness and common prosperity, and write a new chapter of green, low-carbon, and digital intelligence in the global cement industry on the road of green development, intelligent development, and open development.
At the opening ceremony, Yin Zhisong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sinoma International, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizers, sharing the insights and achievements of fulfilling the promise since the first summit, pointing out that Sinoma International regards innovation as a treasure, equipment as a heavy weapon, environment as life, and mutual trust as the source, and empowers global customers with world-class industrial intelligent technology and services. And made a new commitment, will adhere to the corporate mission of "promoting green intelligence to serve a better world", build a data-driven green intelligent technology service system, and promote the sustainable development of the global cement industry.
The conference released four scientific and technological innovation achievements of Sinoma International in 2024.
In the keynote speech of the academician, Karen Scrivener, academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Swiss Academy of Engineering, and professor of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, gave a speech entitled "Research Progress of Calcined Clay-Limestone Low-carbon Cement", which provided new ideas and directions for carbon emission reduction and low-carbon sustainable development.
Miao Changwen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Academic Committee of Southeast University, gave a detailed introduction to the connotation, construction method and cutting-edge application prospects of cement-based bionic metamaterials with the title of "Preliminary Exploration of Cement-based Bionic Metamaterials".
In the CEO roundtable forum, 7 CEOs, including Thomas Girlot, CEO of GCCA, Martin Schneider, CEO of VDZ, Kong Xiangzhong, Executive Chairman of China Cement Association, Arvind Pathak, CEO of Dangote Cement Company, Aqeel F.S. Kadasah, CEO of Saudi Arabia Southern Province Cement Company, Zhao Xinjun, President of Tianshan Materials, and Zhu Bing, President of Sinoma International, shared their practical experience on the "Future Prospect of Cement Plants". Deliver wonderful views, carry out interactive questions, and provide wise words and excellent strategies to achieve the grand goal of "zero-carbon cement industry vision", and empower the sustainable development of the cement industry. After the forum, the guests watched the concept film of future cement.
The conference also set up two sub-forums of "green and low-carbon" and "digital intelligence", specially invited Liu Jiaping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to make a report on "Research and Application of Modern Concrete", and Qian Feng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to give a keynote speech on "Artificial Intelligence Empowering the Digital Transformation of Process Manufacturing", and a total of 29 invited reports and special technical lectures were held in 6 major sub-forums.
In the future, we will adhere to the "world vision, Chinese spirit", spread the good voice of "SINOMA" to the world, show the new technology and new achievements of Sinoma International, and make positive contributions to the high-end, intelligent and green development of the global cement industry. A new chapter of win-win cooperation.
