On the occasion of the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, the Red Cross Society of Xiangshui County held a "Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Safety 'Children' Walk" disaster prevention and risk avoidance knowledge popularization activity in Yinhe Road Primary School to improve students' self-help and mutual rescue ability to deal with sudden public safety incidents, and promote the construction of a safe campus, and more than 100 small medicine box administrators participated in the training.
During the activity, the county Red Cross emergency ambulance trainer popularized first aid skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway foreign body obstruction exclusion with theoretical explanations combined with practical demonstrations, and invited students to come to resuscitation Anne to experience cardiopulmonary resuscitation operations. Although the children are young, they are very serious about learning first-aid skills, and the steps such as heart compression and artificial respiration are well operated.
"Students, let's open the Red Cross kit and see what first-aid supplies are in it, and what are they used for?" The trainer led the administrators to understand the first-aid supplies in the box and their use one by one, and at the same time focused on explaining the trauma techniques such as hemostasis bandaging and fracture fixation in combination with common sudden accidental injuries in public places.
The atmosphere of the popularization of disaster prevention and risk avoidance was particularly warm, and the trainers explained in detail the prevention of drowning and self-rescue and mutual rescue methods through scenario simulation and interactive experience. In the teaching, the trainer uses bamboo poles, ropes, plastic bottles and other common "toilet equipment" in daily life, and demonstrates the operation skills one by one around the five-character formula of "calling, stretching, throwing, rowing and swimming", so that students can intuitively understand the self-rescue and mutual rescue skills of drowning in the game interaction.
Liu Xien, a student in the first grade (13) class of Yinhe Road Primary School, said after participating in the study: "Today I have gained a lot of first aid knowledge, in the drowning prevention link, I kept in mind the drowning prevention 'six prohibitions', as a primary school student, to stay away from dangerous waters, when someone is drowning, you must call loudly, let adults come to help, can not go directly into the water to save people." The trainers also popularized the methods of avoiding and self-rescue in sudden accidents such as earthquake and fire escape.
"Today's activity is rich in content and has strong practicability, so that the participating small medicine box administrators have mastered the basic emergency rescue skills and established a scientific concept of disaster prevention and risk avoidance." Li Jin, vice principal of Yinhe Road Primary School in the county, said that in the future, the school will further establish a long-term mechanism to drive the whole school staff and Red Cross teenagers to arm themselves with more professional first-aid knowledge, enhance the awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation and the ability of teachers and students to help themselves and each other, and minimize losses in the event of an accident.
On the day of the event, the volunteers also combined with the "Red Cross Fraternity Week" to promote the knowledge of "three contributions" to the Red Cross youth of the school, and planted the seeds of public welfare in the hearts of the children with the great love and kindness of hematopoietic stem cell donors.
